Welcome

[edit]

Hello! I'm Yangboxa. I am a father, researcher, and advocate for justice in the United States.

About Me

[edit]

I became involved in Wikipedia editing after the tragic death of my son, Yong Yang, who was fatally shot by Los Angeles Police Department officers on May 2, 2024. Since then, I have been actively engaged in raising awareness about police accountability, mental health reform, and civil rights.

I hope to contribute to Wikipedia by sharing verifiable, fact-based content to ensure the public is accurately informed.

My Focus Areas

[edit]
  • Police accountability in the U.S.
  • Mental health and policing
  • Civil rights litigation and history
  • Korean American history and communities
  • Public policy, legal systems, and oversight

Current Projects

[edit]
  • Drafting a new Wikipedia article on Yong Yang
  • Contributing to and updating related articles, such as:
 * List of killings by law enforcement officers in the United States, May 2024
 * Police use of deadly force in the United States
 * Americans with Disabilities Act
