Help me fix links that 404 to a major publication

Please help me with... Hi

I am working with a highly respected 100+ year old publication in the UK. We have identified 2451 links that we failed to update when we migrated platform, some time ago. How can I best go about updating these, short of editing each one by hand?

(edit conflict) Without more info about the links you want changed, it is hard to give any specific recommendations. If it is a straightforward replacement (such as replace specific text A with specific text B) within a link, that might be a task that can be completed with and automated editing platform that can be requested at WP:AWBREQ. cyberdog958^Talk 10:41, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

So this Wiki page:

Has a citation in the References, #20 which is currently pointing to:

https://www.thestage.co.uk/advice/2018/director-teunkie-van-der-sluijs-first-job-voice-authentic/

..which will 404

I would like to amend this to the correct link which is

https://www.thestage.co.uk/advice/teunkie-van-der-sluijs-you-can-break-all-the-rules-if-your-voice-is-authentic-and-message-heartfelt

As I said, there's 2451 of these (not all, but the majority are on the en.wikipedia.org domain rather than other countries'), so it's a mammoth task to even get all the correct new URLs, yet alone modify all the broken ones on the Wiki pages.
