Notability of Syncopated Productions Inc.
[edit]
A tag has been placed on Syncopated Productions Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Yourname (talk) 02:14, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Syncopated Productions Inc. has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://www.youtube.com/user/syncopatedprod). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Speedy deletion of Syncopated Productions
[edit]
A tag has been placed on Syncopated Productions, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I placed hangon on this posting and yet it still was deleted.
Proposed deletion of Speaking in Tongues: The History of Language
[edit]
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Speaking in Tongues: The History of Language, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- The film is mentioned in only one mainstream media source, a passing mention in an article about one of its contributors. Thus it fails WP:Notability (films). I can likewise find no mention of it in linguistics teaching- or other academic materials. The page has also been tagged as an advert, and has been unreferenced for more than a year.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. I strongly disagree with the deletion of this article. First the posting has not been up there for more than a year and the film itself is most likely one of the most important documentaries done on linguistics to date. No where has this caliber of experts been assembled and it may not be mentioned in acedemic material yet because it is relatively new. The series however has been purchased by numerous linguistics departments the world over. I am hoping that the posting will be restored. Thank you.
Speaking in Tongues: The History of language is important and very notable because of the sheer caliber of experts that have been assembled. All of experts – are recognized as being at the top of their individual fields of studies. ( For example Noam Chomsky is seen as the most important linguistic alive today – Larry Hyman is recognized as the world expert on African languages and on and on. This in itself is a great accomplishment. At present they may not be any academic materials written yet about the film since the film is relatively new but the film is now in the collection of many linguistic departments all over the world over.
I think that it is shame that that this article was deleted. It is the most extensive and far reaching documentary series on linguistics of its kind.

You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Speaking in Tongues The History of Language, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.omniab.ca/programming/signatureseries/details.php?id=12. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 21:55, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
I am the copyright hold of the said material. My first posting of this information was unfairly deleted. It is a very notable project - which has asembled some of the most important scholars in the field of linguistics today. Something like this has never been done before and should be included in wikipeida!!!
Speedy deletion nomination of Syncopated productions

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Syncopated productions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Bbb23 (talk) 14:15, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
