A tag has been placed on Compuscan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. FlyingToaster 09:09, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

This kind of activity is considered spamming and is forbidden by Wikipedia policies. In addition, the use of a username like yours violates our username policy.
You may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you.
Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Usernames that have already been taken are listed here. Blueboy96 17:01, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Compuscan (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I would like to be unblocked in order to edit the Compuscan page. I was unaware that one cannot use a company name as a user name, I would use the user name Frank for future reference. What I would like to know though, is, if there were something wrong with my content that it was blocked for spamming? - I'm unsure as to how this can be as Compuscan's competitors have a similar feel and writing style, thus they are also spamming. So if someone can please inform me on how this works precisely it would be appreciated so I can have the information written in a factual and even more objective manner
Decline reason:
I would suggest you read this page - whilst there may be other companies in a similar space which have pages, the fact that other stuff exists isn't a valid reason for inclusion. I am declining this unblock because your request appears to indicate that your intention would still be to promote Compuscan, a company with which you appear to be involved, and which would therefore constitute a conflict of interest. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
