Just checking in
[edit]How's everything going? Any questions or comments you feel like raising? Mathglot (talk) 08:20, 30 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Mathglot Everything is going good. Is this about my recent edits to my user page?CycoMa2 (talk) 08:38, 30 December 2024 (UTC)
- No, just in general. We haven't talked in a while, and wanted to make sure all is well. I guess having answered questions and helped out a bit earlier on various things just makes me want to know all is well, and offer continued assistance, if any is needed. If it's all going good, then that's great, just carry on doing what you're doing! Mathglot (talk) 09:05, 30 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Mathglot Oh. It’s honestly nice to talk to you again.
- When we first interacted I was literally some immature teenage boy. Now I’m in my final year of undergraduate education and about to enter real adulthood.CycoMa2 (talk) 16:57, 30 December 2024 (UTC)
- I'm glad to see that things are going well for you, and look forward to your future contributions. Feel free to ping me anytime, or just come over to my Talk page and say hello, and tell me how your studies are going. Cheers, Mathglot (talk) 03:15, 31 December 2024 (UTC)

Jesus I am so tired
[edit]God I have never put this much time and effort into a few articles before. I literally had to drive miles just to access to some sources for these articles But these articles must exist. The individuals are notable for wikipedia standards. I just gotta remind myself to not pass out in the process.
Just letting other wikipedians know what I am doing right now. CycoMa2 (talk) 21:03, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
- nothing is that important. Don't put yourself at risk. Take a break. You'll work more efficiently afterwards. AndyTheGrump (talk) 21:52, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
- @AndyTheGrumpsounds like a great idea, for this weekend I am gonna stay off of Wikipedia.
- Gonna go camping on Saturday and I have to attend a meeting on Sunday. Let’s just say the man behind this account does a lot in real life and does a lot for this project. CycoMa2 (talk) 03:09, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- Enjoy your camping. I'm too old for that sort of thing now, but I've slept in a tent or two in my time. Or sometimes just in a sleeping bag, in the open air (in Europe, where there aren't bears etc to worry about). Going to sleep watching fireflies circling overhead, and then waking to a dawn chorus of Yugoslav frogs (it was that long ago), only a few of which tried to share the bag with me, was quite an experience... AndyTheGrump (talk) 03:21, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- @AndyTheGrump wait you’re from Europe? CycoMa2 (talk) 02:14, 1 June 2025 (UTC)
- England: London to be precise. How's the camping going? AndyTheGrump (talk) 02:17, 1 June 2025 (UTC)
- Huh you always did give off a British vibe to me.
- I just got back home from camping.
- But anyway, the reason I am driving a lot is because these certain sources can only be found at libraries.
- I am basically trying to write a bunch of biographies about historical figures for American history.
- There is however some other issues besides the fact these sources are only available at libraries.
- These individuals are likely relatives of mine. From both my mother and father’s side.
- Steven Pruitt has done something similar in the past and the biographies of many of these individuals have been dead for a long time, so BLP policies wouldn’t really apply to them.
- But let’s just say these individuals do impact a lot of people to the present day, it especially impacts their descendants. CycoMa2 (talk) 02:56, 1 June 2025 (UTC)

New biographies
[edit]Decided to create 3 new biographies. There is enough information about these individuals for them to have their own articles. They also meet Wikipedia’s criteria of notability.
Also it would also be a bit more manageable to publish a single biography individually, it would also be a bit more manageable for AFC reviewers. CycoMa2 (talk) 14:24, 5 June 2025 (UTC)

More new drafts
[edit]To be honest I was hoping on doing only 2 drafts on these 2 families. But I soon realized that many members of these families are notable enough for their own articles and there is a lot more to say about them.
If anyone wishes to help me out on these drafts please tag me. CycoMa2 (talk) 17:32, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
Self-requested block
[edit]On my talk page you have asked me to block you for a week. Please answer the following questions:
- Are you still sure you want that?
- Do you agree to have editing of this talk page blocked and email disabled, so that you can't post an unblock request?
- Do you agree that if you request an unblock during the week, by any means, such as on UTRS, it must be declined? JBW (talk) 00:03, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
- @JBW Yes I am aware of all of the following 3.
- Trust me I absolutely need time away from the wiki.
- I have to do paper work for an internship I am doing and the wiki keeps distracting me. CycoMa2 (talk) 00:15, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
- OK, I have done the block. good luck with settling down to your internship work. JBW (talk) 00:19, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, I too suffer from attention deficit disorder, and Wikipedia grabbing my attention when I need to get on with other stuff is a really major problem, so I have 100% sympathy for you. JBW (talk) 00:23, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
