New Son of Zorn sock?

[edit]

I think Peep&Pocoyo10 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is a new sock of Zorn. They're using the phrases "nothing in article indicates than" and "already placed in subcat," in edit summaries, both of which are common to their socks. wizzito | say hello! 16:07, 15 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Wizzito sure looks that way! Blocked EvergreenFir (talk) 16:58, 15 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Here are some recent IPs that you should mass revert or block, likely Zorn based on the whole edit pattern:

The third IP on this list was active as recently as today. I suggest you block it. wizzito | say hello! 19:51, 4 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Wizzito looks like someone beat me to it. I don't think that first IP is SoZ though EvergreenFir (talk) 04:32, 5 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

UTRS appeal

[edit]

Way back in October 2023 you blocked ImAWubbox1984. After that there continued to be problems, including unconstructive unblock requests at UTRS and sockpuppetry. However, they have now made an unblock request at UTRS appeal #103893 which seems to me to be much more reasonable than some previous ones. Also, as far as I can see six months have passed since this editor did anything on en.wikipedia or UTRS, and meanwhile they have contributed to simple.wikipedia, as far as I can see constructively and without problems. I therefore don't see any reason not to unblock. However, do you wish to make any comment? JBW (talk) 22:21, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@JBW thank you for checking with me. I trust your judgement and have no objections. EvergreenFir (talk) 23:40, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This same vandalism has been going on for some time at this article, from what I can tell, at least a year now. Is there any range that covers all these same IPs that can get blocked from editing, or would protection on the article be the best option?

Not sure if I missed any, but here's several I've found:

Seems like this is just going to continue going on, so if there's no range(s) that can cover them all, I'm guessing a page protection for a good amount of time would be the best option. Magitroopa (talk) 18:20, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Magitroopa there seem to be too many constructive edits on the various ranges I looked at (/36, /40, /48). I think page protection is best. I'll do that now. Thanks for reporting! EvergreenFir (talk) 18:25, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Australian IP Hopper

[edit]

IP hopper from Tasmania, Australia (according to Geolocate) is at it again over at Bye Bye Nerdie making an unexplained change in the plot. - FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 09:00, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
