Username

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: Specifically, your username appears to be the name of a company. On Wikipedia, accounts are for individuals, not companies. Furthermore, there may be concerns that your edits may have been made with a conflict of interest. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

If you can relieve my concern through discussing it here, I can stop worrying about it.
If the two of us can't agree here, we can ask for help through Wikipedia's dispute resolution process, such as requesting comments from other Wikipedians. Wikipedia administrators usually abide by agreements reached through this process.
You can keep your contributions history under a new username. Visit Wikipedia:Changing username and follow the guidelines there.

Hello, I was unaware that this would be an issue. I have a consulting and management company called GSM and I have a general interest in the Texas movie scene. The Wikipedia:Username policy says that Use of Wikipedia for promotion of a company or group is not permitted, which I am not doing. I am not promoting my company in the least nor have I tried to. It also says that Use of a company or group name as a username is not explicitly prohibited so again, I am not breaking any rules. The one post I have made is about someone I am a fan of is completely unbiased and factual information, feel free to look it all up yourself.

If you believe I have been biased in some way I would be more than happy to talk with you about it and change something, however I made a strong effort to remain neutral. I have submitted a request to change my username to something less "offensive" and will hopefully here back soon.
