[edit]How did you make your profile so weird and cool??? I wanna make wikipedia bounce! --SolemnEye (talk) 09:46, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- You can add this to a user page:
</span> <span class="noprint" style="position:absolute;top:-168px;left:-185px;z-index:4"><imagemap> Image:New-Bouncywikilogo.gif|150x150px default [[Main Page]] desc none</imagemap></span>
You can see how this works in the HTML of the user page.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 10:01, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
Could use some direction with all these tools

- Regarding my comment at User talk:Sushiwill25: my personal opinion about using large language model tools on Wikipedia can be summed up in a single word, which is "don't". They do need to be used with caution, because they can easily end up writing material that looks plausible but is junk. However, LLM can be used for some forms of copyediting if you know what you are doing.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 15:04, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
Archimedes: BC or rather BCE
[edit]https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Archimedes&oldid=1294067910
I consider it deeply disrespectful (as well as completely nonsensical) to measure the time of namesake principle providing Archimedes by the birth of some hypothetical, allegedly water-WALKING christ-person, who's followers – inventors of that epoch – later even based their "probes" of so called "witches" – in direct contradiction to that very principle – on whether they would float and who – if only for that principle – would have burnt him at the stake. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AmigoCgn (talk • contribs) 04:17, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- This is getting into the realms of WP:RGW. The reason why I reverted here is because it led to inconsistency within the article, and pointed out MOS:BC.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 06:34, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
