I fixed what your edit did to BD2412's comment. No biggie. DMacks (talk) 06:36, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- Very sorry, DMacks - I was about to head to bed and hadn’t noticed. Thanks for helping there! Patient Zerotalk 15:30, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
News and updates for administrators from the past month (May 2025).
- An RfC is open to determine whether the English Wikipedia community should adopt a position on AI development by the WMF and its affiliates.
- A new feature called Multiblocks will be deployed on English Wikipedia on the week of June 2. See the relevant announcement on the administrators' noticeboard.
- History merges performed using the mergehistory special page are now logged at both the source and destination, rather than just the source as previously, after this RFC and the resolution of T118132.
- An arbitration case named Indian military history has been opened. Evidence submissions for this case close on 8 June.
- Voting for the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) election is open until 17 June 2025. Read the voting page on Meta-Wiki and cast your vote here!
- An Articles for Creation backlog drive is happening in June 2025, with over 1,600 drafts awaiting review from the past two months. In addition to AfC participants, all administrators and new page patrollers can help review using the Yet Another AFC Helper Script, which can be enabled in the Gadgets settings. Sign up here to participate!
- The Unreferenced articles backlog drive is happening in June 2025 to reduce the backlog of articles tagged with {{Unreferenced}}. You can help reduce the backlog by adding citations to these articles. Sign up to participate!
I've been busy, and the best way to avoid spending too much time on Wikipedia is just to avoid it entirely, or at least anything that isn't mainspace to avoid the potential enticement of an OBOD.
But in answer to your question, no I don't use Discord and I don't think I will, never really liked even the appearance of caballing, and frankly if its anything like the old mailing list there's stuff I'd rather just not be a party to. If there really is a need I can arrange a chat on IRC and then yes if longer term correspondence is needed exchange emails, though I don't think that is likely.
In terms of finding GRP stuff hours or even days after it has slipped past the first line of RCP like this stuff, there's no real secret, it's entirely standard techniques of backchecking recent patterns on known targets against a wider array of pages and seeing if there are any unreverted matches. 184.152.65.118 (talk) 03:19, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
- That's completely fair. I was going to get in touch with you regarding one of the LTAs you mentioned, but I managed to get it all sorted. :) Appreciate your help with showing me more examples of GRP's MO, also. Patient Zerotalk 00:35, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
Hi Patient Zero, we've never interacted (to the best of my knowledge), but I've seen you around from time to time. I happened on your essay about OWH. Thank you for publishing it. I'm sorry you had such an experience and am glad you're not letting it stop you. Publicising harassment of that sort and carrying on is an important step in squashing it. Best wishes. Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 04:23, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, Mr Serjeant Buzfuz! Thank you very much for the kind words. :) I have also seen you around from time to time!
- I would never want to say it is "part and parcel" of dealing (on a regular basis) with vandals, LTAs and other forms of disruption, as I wouldn't want anyone thinking they should just put up with it, or for it to be in any way normalised as an editor experience here - but it is something I can say I've learned a lot from, and I completely agree that publicising what happened was, as you put it quite well, an important step in squashing it. I also hope that people might read it and either know what to look out for, or know that they are not alone in having to deal with it, and that it is OK to feel uncomfortable or alarmed when it happens. I hope all is well, and best wishes to you too! Patient Zerotalk 00:45, 10 June 2025 (UTC)

Greetings Patient Zero, Thank you for your input and feedback on the article I was trying to post. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:AccreditatioNerd I read your Welcome to my talk page! Saying to reply on the original page, but I am new to Wikipedia and looked for a reply option with no success.
You had made some comments to my first article and I would really like some guidelines to identify how I can get out information posted.
Here are some of my thoughts/questions, anything you can provide to assist me would be appreciated. • I have read through the guidelines and created my first page to identify our company on Wikipedia. • I had created our page to be similar to our competitors page which you can find at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commission_on_Accreditation_of_Medical_Transport_Systems • I have written a second article for the category of Medical Transport Accreditation that fits both of our organizations, but haven't uploaded this for review as of yet.
In advance, thank you for your time and expertise. AccreditatioNerd (talk) 21:09, 13 June 2025 (UTC)

Whack! You've been whacked with a wet trout. Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly. |
For messing up using AWB 23 times and not using regex correctly, according to a self-admittance offwiki. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 07:00, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
- LOL, I goofed that up massively, Yoshi24517. To anyone else reading this, I reverted all my mistakes and have realised what went wrong. Trout duly accepted! Patient Zerotalk 20:29, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
