Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to South Sudan, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted (undone) by ClueBot NG.

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to South Sudan, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article South Sudan, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please cite a source the next time you claim Juba is only the "temporary" capital. Cybercobra (talk) 06:46, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Policies

[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, Spla83, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! . I suggest you read these policies carefully. You have already been referred to several above. This is important. Wikipedia welcomes new editors. However, it is not a free-for-all. If you carry on edit warring over this point without discussing the issue or producing sources to support your claim you could find yourself being blocked from editing. If you need any help don't hesitate to ask.Fainites barleyscribs 10:20, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on South Sudan. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

In particular, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing.
This applies whether or not you are logged in to this account when you edit. JamesBWatson (talk) 08:54, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
