Question from CornStormSReal 0r on British military rifles (03:48, 24 May 2025)

[edit]

Hello, how do i choose the right sources for citations, sometimes i end up putting ones which i’m told don’t follow wikipedia’s guidelines. I will appreciate your assistance. --CornStormSReal 0r (talk) 03:48, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@CornStormSReal 0r: Wikipedia has a guideline on reliable sources, which explains which types of sources are considered reliable. This edit of yours, for instance, is a citation to a site which just mirrors (copies) Wikipedia content. You can also refer to the list of perennial sources for general consensus on the reliability of some often-discussed sources. Tol (talk | contribs) @ 16:59, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for the reply. I appreciate! CornStormSReal 0r (talk) 18:54, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Doubledowny (10:06, 1 June 2025)

[edit]

Why was I given both up and down votes on a duplicate edit on the same page? I was clarifying an abbreviation that was lacking an explanation and one of them is -3 while the other is +24. --Doubledowny (talk) 10:06, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
