Luwian template[edit]
I need a {{lang-xxx|}}
type template for Luwian that wraps both Anatolian hieroglyphs and Hittite cuneiform.
However I am not sure which code to use for this template since ISO 639-3 and Linguist List have no single code for all of Luwian and instead use xlu
for Cuneiform Luwian and hlu
for Hieroglyphic Luwian.
Can something be done regarding this? Antiquistik (talk) 14:38, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
- If the Luwian text is written using hieroglyphs use
{{lang-hlu}}
; if written in cuneiform use{{lang-xlu}}
. If you think that ISO 639 should have a 'generic' Luwian language tag, you will have to take that up with the ISO 639 custodians; Module:Lang does not (and will not) support Linguist list language tags. - —Trappist the monk (talk) 16:09, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
- Alright! I will see what I can do. Antiquistik (talk) 19:26, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
