- Comment: what. WP:NEWS is an essay talking about the various projects by Wikimedia dedicated to news, why are you citing it like it's a policy? Also, this isn't a rationale. TheGoofWasHere (talk) 00:44, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
- Delete All coverage is from August 2021 (or is from Twitter or not about the challenge at all). No WP:LASTING effects, just another one-news-cycle mass hysteria that got someone their 15 minutes. WeirdNAnnoyed (talk) 10:58, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
- Keep: clicking on the Gscholar link above gives several peer-reviewed articles discussing this either in terms of injuries or studying social media fads, 2022, 2024, 2025...
