Emily Weisband -> [[Emily Weisband]] Introduce links now that she has an article. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 20:26, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@TenPoundHammer:  Done Links introduced to first occurrence of her in the articles, a good chunk of that 100 already had her linked already. Sophisticatedevening🍷(talk) 19:12, 10 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at the WP:FINDLINK result there's quite a few articles left that could have the wikilink added too. Nobody (talk) 09:00, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Articles using Template:inflation with CURRENTYEAR

[edit]

It's recently come to my attention that many articles use {{inflation}} but, rather than letting the inflation template figure out the year of the inflation data or using {{inflation/year}}, they use the magic word {{CURRENTYEAR}}. This has two problems:

  • Primarily, the inflation data is updated manuallly and the latest year in the inflation template for each country is not necessarily the current year (for example Template:Inflation/UK/dataset only goes up to 2023; also see the "end_year maximum" column of the "supported countries" table in the documentation for the {{inflation}} template). Therefore, listing the current year causes inaccuracies.
  • It may well make reuse of our content more difficult unnecessarily.

In general, a replacement string that should catch most of these expressed in plain English would be :"{{inflation|Index|...}} in {{CURRENTYEAR}}" to "{{inflation|Index|...}} in {{inflation/year/Index}}; the rest can be dealt with manually if needed. There are 942 pages that use {{inflation}} and have "currentyear" in their source, too many for me to work on manually. Any help with this would be appreciated. I'll also leave a note at the inflation template's talk page. Graham87 (talk) 07:20, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The template Template:Elections in Alabama footer has been condensed to easily appear on pages it is applied to. It should be applied to all pages with the Template:Elections in Alabama sidebar (usually linked as Template:Elections in Alabama). Template will appear in a small form at the bottom that will not hinder visibility and improve navigation as it contains more information than the sidebar. Would also allow the sidebar to be condensed to not include unneeded links Yoblyblob (Talk) :) 21:30, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Change name of infobox parameter on articles

[edit]

Change articles containing the parameter "long" on Category:Pages using infobox artifact with unknown parameters to "length". Thanks. RajanD100 (talk) 02:54, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

 Done manually. It was only 24 articles. – Jonesey95 (talk) 03:10, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Tag articles for merge

[edit]

Sorry if this isn't feasible, but can articles in Category:Days of the Coptic calendar be tagged for merge to their respective month article?
E.g. Thout 1, Thout 2, ... Thout 30 into Thout
Paopi 1, Paopi 2, ... Paopi 30 into Paopi etc. RajanD100 (talk) 03:42, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Tag LUGSTUBS2 talk pages

[edit]

The WP:LUGSTUBS2 mess is winding up. Every article in the original list (1,106 articles) needs to have an {{old prod}} added to it. The template should say: {{old prod |nom=BilledMammal |nomdate=8 July 2023 |nomreason=[[WP:LUGSTUBS2]]}}

Regardless of whether the article is still in the mainspace or has been moved to draftspace, the talk page should be tagged. The possibly tricky part is:

I'd estimate that as much as two-thirds of the original list could be redirects now.

There's no special rush to get this done; any time in the next month or so is probably fine. WhatamIdoing (talk) 04:11, 21 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I will take care of it in the next few hours once I am on my computer. – DreamRimmer 04:41, 21 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Done Edits. Skipped non-existent and already tagged pages. – DreamRimmer 14:11, 21 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! WhatamIdoing (talk) 16:39, 21 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

List of extrasolar planets has tons of links in many see also lists, but the issue is that this list does not exist; we do not have a single list with all the exoplanets, so this name is misleading.

Therefore, i suggest changing every single link from List of extrasolar planets to Lists of planets. 21 Andromedae (talk) 15:08, 23 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It might not be appropriate to make this change if the link is in prose for example, so I'm not sure about doing this change. GalStar (talk) 19:51, 23 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This was originally brought up at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2025 June 23#List of extrasolar planets where I mentioned that an AWB fix might be possible, however I also stated that there would need to be a consensus that the change is desirable first. @21.Andromedae: if you (or someone else) has sought this consensus please could you link to it. Thryduulf (talk) 23:54, 23 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I requested it at WT:AST. 21 Andromedae (talk) 23:59, 23 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
