Alansohn (talk · contribs) I have been an editing actively on Wikipedia for about 18 months, but I have never received any formal comment recommending improvements. I have learned much informally, but I know that I would benefit from outside suggestions. Alansohn 18:56, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
Reviews
- Hi Alansohn... Oh my gosh, amazing user! 20 months of high Wikipedia activity, what can I say? Your immense contribution to New Jersey-related topics are astonishing and priceless. I don't have to much to say right now, except for a couple things:
- Great amount of participation in WP:AFD, with some strong defensive arguments on school-related deletion discussions. However, while you are generally success in maintaining WP:NPOV voice, you've shown stress in some of the discussions. In those cases, you may have to step back and take a breath. Other users will defend it for you if it's a clear bad-faith case.
- The proportion between your article talk and article edits is very unbalanced. I'm like this also, because I believe spending lots time in discussions on tiny matters is not very wise. However, a user have criticized me on that before.
- You have no contribution in portal namespace. Portals are amazing in improving the organization of a wide range of topics. Although WP:NJ is doing the organization work very well, I believe portals will fill in some of the gaps. Consider expanding portals such as Portal:New Jersey (which currently is a stub portal).
That's it for now. Cheers! AQu01rius (User • Talk) 23:24, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- I have been quite active in improving, expanding and adding sources for articles related to New Jersey, including municipalities, legislators, school districts, schools and highways. I created WP:NJ, which has gone a long way to filling in the holes related to New Jersey. I have become far more dilligent in sourcing, finding and adding sources wherever I can. I participate regularly on AfDs, doing my best to improve articles to address issues and promote retention for deserving articles.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- I have been in a number of conflicts during my time on Wikipedia. While I have let a few incidents get out of hand, I have tried to learn from these incidents and take the steps necessary to avoid conflict before any further wars break out.
