Lieutenant General Zarrar Azim HI(M) is a retired three-star general of the Pakistan Army who served as Corps Commander of IV Corps Lahore.[1][2]

Military career

Zarrar Azim was commissioned into the Guides Cavalry in 1970 via 42 PMA Long Course. As a lieutenant colonel, he had commanded the 13th Lancers. He also led the Punjab Rangers.[3] He was instructor at Pakistan Army Armoured School and National Defence College. He served as General officer commanding of 6th Armoured Division. One of his key appointments were Director General of Punjab Rangers.[4][5]

In October 2001, he was appointed Corps Commander of IV Corps in Lahore, where he served until December 2003. Later he served as Inspector General Training and Evaluation, a key appointment at General Headquarters.[6][7][8]
