Zou Erjun

Zou Erjun (born October 1931, Chinese: 邹尔均) is a politician from Yinxian County [zh], Zhejiang Province, and a former Chinese Communist Party Committee Secretary and mayor of Xiamen.[1]

Biography

In August 1952, Zou Erjun joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He served as a member of the Southern Service Corps, cashier at the Sanming Branch of the People's Bank of China, personnel officer at the County People's Bank, deputy director of the Secretariat of the Longyan Regional Central Branch, Director of the Secretariat Department, Deputy Director, and Director of the Longyan Regional Central Branch of the People's Bank of China, Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the Liancheng County Committee of the CCP, and Second Secretary of the Longyan Regional Committee of the CCP.[2] After September 1981, he successively served as Deputy Secretary of the CCP Xiamen Municipal Committee, Deputy Mayor of Xiamen, First Deputy Director of the Xiamen Special Economic Zone Administrative Committee, Acting Mayor and Mayor of Xiamen, Director of the Xiamen Special Economic Zone Administrative Committee, Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Committee of the CCP, and Mayor of Xiamen. In December 1987, he was re-elected as Mayor of Xiamen.[3][4]
