The aim of this project is to standardize and improve articles related to Heavy metal music and its sub-genres, as well as to create missing articles. Please add tasks needing to be done in the appropriate section, and remove them accordingly when they are done.
You can also help to improve the metal collaboration of the month—a heavy-metal-related article selected by community consensus to be collaboratively improved over a month's time, ideally to elevate it to good or featured level status.

Mergers
- Alternative Metal into Nu-metal as it's the same genre. Nu-metal then needs to be merged with Alternative rock.
- Death and Roll into Death metal to little distinction and too few bands for DnR
- Merger of mall metal and mallcore, as they are both part of the same scene.
Iranian metalHeavy metal music in Iran (renamed) into Heavy metal in Islamic countries or Rock and alternative music in Iran.
- Note that there is currently a debate about whether this article should be kept, merged or re-nominated for deletion. All invited to check out the article and pass opinion in the talk page.
