Draft:Deep Research Labs
Submission declined on 23 April 2025 by CNMall41 (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

Comment: Approximately half the content is unreferenced. This includes many potentially contentious claims, which must be clearly supported by inline citations to reliable sources. Examples include:
Comment: Not much coverage about this company (WP:SIRS). Its works may have been cited but that isn't a determinant of notability per WP:NCORP. Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 12:02, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
Comment: A note on the sources: many of them are primary (including some that appear in secondary publications, but are representatives of the organisation talking and/or likely based on publicity materials), and as such do not contribute towards notability per WP:ORG. I did fully evaluate, and therefore did not decline this on the basis of, notability, but I would say it is at the moment probably borderline at best. Deep Research Labs, d.b.a. DEEP, is an international ocean design and engineering company. The DEEP[1] brand was founded in 2021 and is headquartered in Chepstow, United Kingdom.
The company designs, manufactures, and operates subsea human habitats.
Refit of R/P FLIP
[edit]R/P FLIP[2] (floating instrument platform) is a semi-submersible ocean research platform.
The U.S. Office of Naval Research (ONR) withdrew its support for the vessel in 2020[3].
In August 2023, FLIP departed to be scrapped in Mexico[4].
On 23 October 2024, DEEP announced plans to modernise the platform for ocean research. FLIP was transported from Mexico to La Ciotat, France where it is undergoing a refit.[5]
DEEP Manufacturing Limited
[edit]DEEP is building subsea human habitats and requires large, customised metal component parts. This led to an investment in Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM).
DEEP announced the launch of its manufacturing business in January 2025, DEEP Manufacturing.
Based in Bristol, United Kingdom, DEEP Manufacturing uses Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) to produce metal component parts for a range of industries.[6]
