Rainah Jenn "Rain" Flores Celmar (born November 29, 2006) is a Filipino actress, singer, host, songwriter, and television personality. She came to prominence in 2024 as a housemate of Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11, where she was dubbed as the "Cheerfu-langga ng Cebu"[1] and won as the 2nd Big Placer.[2]
Early Life
[edit]Celmar was born on November 29, 2006. She is the second child of Raul Celmar and Jennifer Flores and the only daughter among their three children. When asked about her passion for music, Celmar mentioned that she has loved singing since childhood and was once part of a band.[3] During her elementary years, Celmar showcased her athleticism as a member of her school’s women’s volleyball team.
Beyond volleyball, she explored a wide range of sports, including bowling, boxing, surfing, hiking, and badminton, honing her versatility and competitive spirit. Before entering Pinoy Big Brother, her passion for sports and adventurous pursuits had already become a defining aspect of her personality.[4]
Career
[edit]In an interview, Rain Celmar revealed that her decision to audition for Pinoy Big Brother stemmed from a need for a "backup plan" after nearly failing her calculus classes.[5] Once inside the PBB house, she collaborated with her fellow housemates to co-write and record several songs, including "C U Happy", "Crazy", and "Eyes Open".[6] The latter track was later released by Star Music as part of her debut album.
Throughout her stay in the PBB house, Celmar consistently topped the nomination voting, earning widespread support from viewers. Her popularity ultimately secured her the title of 2nd Big Placer, with an impressive 26.05% of the total votes.[7]
After her Pinoy Big Brother stint, Celmar, along with her fellow housemates from the season, returned to the iconic Bahay ni Kuya for a spinoff reality series titled "Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 Big 4Ever".[8] The series offered fans a glimpse into their lives post-show while featuring exclusive, never-before-seen footage from their time in the house that was not aired during the original season.
In February 2025, Rain Celmar made her debut as a guest co-host on iWant ASAP, the digital companion show to the iconic Sunday musical variety program ASAP (TV program).
On April 5, 2025, Celmar took part in the Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 Reunion Concert titled "The Unforgettabolabolabol GENeral Assembly", featuring special performances from her season's co-housemates.[9]
On April 9, 2025, Celmar was announced as part of Love at First Spike, iWantTFC's coming-of-age LGBTQ+ series, portraying the role of "Olivia Alcantara".[10] In the media presscon, Celmar described her character as the setter, known as "the mind player of the court," and forms a close-knit trio with Farrah, played by Reign Parani, and Sinag, played by Andi Abaya.
Debut EP: Meteor Rain and b luvd
[edit]On April 27, 2025, Star Music officially announced Celmar's album launch and meet-and-greet event, titled "Meteor Rain", scheduled to take place at the SM North Edsa SkyDome.[11] The event quickly captured public attention, selling out in just 22 days.
On May 30, 2025, Rain Celmar released her highly anticipated debut album, "b luvd", featuring five tracks, three of which she co-wrote: "eyes open", "miss senti(mental)", and "pahuway". The album also included the title track "b luvd" and "ligaya".[12]
The EP was a commercial success, debuting at No. 67 on the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart and securing the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Philippines Album Chart.[13] Furthermore, all five tracks dominated the iTunes Philippines Songs Chart throughout the entire release week.
