iPadOS 26 is a seventh tablet operating system of iPadOS developed by Apple Inc. It was announced on June 9, 2025 at Apple Worldwide Developers Conference 2025.[1][2]
Features and changes
[change | change source]iPadOS 26 was redesigned with the Liquid Glass, the other operating systems also redesigned with the Liquid Glass including iOS 26, MacOS Tahoe, watchOS 26 and tvOS 26, visionOS 26.[3] It has a multitasking look like a MacOS.[4][5][6] It has a Preview app that runs MacOS. It has a Journal app with support for the Apple Pencil.[7]
Supported devices
[change | change source]iPadOS 26 will be no longer supported for iPad (7th generation). Here is models that supported iPadOS 26 such as iPad Pro (M4), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later), iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later), iPad Air (M2 and later), iPad Air (3rd generation and later), iPad Air (A16), iPad (8th generation and later), iPad mini (A17) and iPad mini (5th generation and later).[8]
