ShoMiz was a villainous professional wrestling tag team consisting of Big Show and The Miz, which competed in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) promotion.[1]

They were active in 2010 and won the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship, which was made by the unification of the World Tag Team Championship and WWE Tag Team Championship,[6][7] while Miz also held the United States Championship.[4] They were also featured as a team in two WWE's pay-per-view events, WrestleMania XXVI[8] and Extreme Rules.[9]

The team's name is a reference to showbiz.

History

[edit]

On the January 18, 2010 episode of Raw, after Big Show helped United States Champion The Miz by attacking Miz's rival, MVP, guest host Jon Heder arranged for Big Show and Miz to form a tag team to take on D-Generation X (Shawn Michaels and Triple H).[4]

On the February 8 episode of Raw, they won the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship (World and WWE Tag Team Championships in tandem) by defeating D-Generation X and Straight Edge Society (CM Punk and Luke Gallows) in a three-way elimination match.[10] At Elimination Chamber on February 21, Big Show interfered in Miz's United States Championship match against MVP, helping Miz retain the title.[11] Over the following months, they successfully defended the titles against teams including MVP and Mark Henry,[12] and D-Generation X on Raw episodes,[13] as well as against John Morrison and R-Truth at WrestleMania XXVI.[14]

After WrestleMania, ShowMiz began feuding with The Hart Dynasty.[15] At Extreme Rules on April 25, they were defeated in a gauntlet match by The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd), who earned a title shot the next night. On the April 26 episode of Raw, The Hart Dynasty defeated ShowMiz for the titles.[16] Following the loss, Big Show attacked Miz and walked away, ending the partnership.[1]
