Large amount of information removed
[edit]I seen the moderators really have done hatchet job on information on here. Speaking as someone who has contributed in the past, i'm done with it now. What someone deems as irrelevant is not necessarily the case for somebody else who may have a deeper and broader interest in the subject. Just because the word 'brehon' isn't in the paragraph it shouldn't be automatically deleted. If there's not information that was deemed offensive to other persons why cut large swades of information. Many earliest Irish saints(born in Ireland) came from bardic and brehon families, thus the reason Culdees was mentioned. If editors want the scope information to become more restrictive and boring its up to them, it puts any future contributors off, possibly kills off the development of topic, why not reduce the page to a paragraph!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.40.212.222 (talk) 10:28, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
Céilí Dé and Druim Cetta
[edit]When I first looked at the Brehon Law page a few years ago, it was directly on point and valuable. I took a look at it this morning and see that there are two entire sections that have nothing, really, to do with Brehon Law. The original editors seem to be denoted by their IP address and not a real account name. I have never edited Wikipedia and only signed up to fix this issue. I don't want to do massive surgery on the article because someone did invest a lot of time gathering this information, but it seems to have just been pasted here without thought as to how it dilutes the original material. Would anyone object if I moved "Brehon laws and the early Irish church (Céilí Dé)" and "Druim Cetta" to their own articles? RAHampton (talk) 11:58, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- Maybe leave things alone the old page was so much better than this 2601:546:8201:A540:0:0:0:9BD8 (talk) 22:37, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

Complaint
[edit]I received an email complaining about the tone of one of my edit summaries, but not about the substance. I'm not going to copy and paste the OP's email, because it might be protected by copyright law, and I don't want it to boomerang. Anyone who has problems with anyone else's edits can revert all or part of their edits, cut and paste them into a different article, or use one of Wikipedia's many systems of dispute resolution.
