America First Policy Institute

[edit]

Conservative think tanks with a populist bent, which presumably compete with each other to raise money from conservative donors with a populist bent, make claims about how much of what Trump is doing can be attributed to them. The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) appears to compete with The Heritage Foundation, recently saying that they had drafted 196 federal policies and Trump's administration has taken up 86% of them, while 73 of its alumni are now working for the Trump admin. I don't know if Heritage has issued a body count like that. At any rate, the America First Policy Institute is much shorter than the Project 2025 article and for folks who have worked on this article, there might be an interest in that article as well.
