Welcome!
[edit]Hello, AI007007, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Diaza, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.
Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. Speedy deletion nomination of Diaza
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Diaza, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Unblock requests
[edit]
AI007007 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
First of all, I understand that my article did have tones of promotional language and as such I understand why I was blocked from editing. If I am unblocked then I will be sure that in all of my future Wikipedia edits/writing will have no tones of promotional language but rather informational and a neutral point of view. I have a greater understanding now of what Wikipedia’s dos and don’ts are in situations like these and why blocks happen in general. If given the chance to be unblocked I promise to be equally respectable and cooperative within the Wikipedia sphere just like I am in real life and other outlets online. I have no previous history on Wikipedia besides the Diaza article and just casual viewing Wikipedia without any account attached. I feel that I should be unblocked because I understand the concerns that were brought to my article and I want to bring these concerns into helping make Wikipedia an even more valuable website. I also feel that I should be unblocked because I am a decently new user and was only starting to understand the ins and outs of editing on Wikipedia and I would love to learn more. If I am unblocked then I will make sure to be the best user that I can be and to ensure that others follow the guidelines/rules too. I am here on Wikipedia because I believe that Wikipedia is a valuable source for both research but also learning about something new. I use Wikipedia regularly and I have been using it as a nonuser for many years now. I am also on Wikipedia because I feel it is one of the most important free resources that is free for everyone. My favorite part about Wikipedia is that it has niches for everyone from video games to geography to perfume. Thank you for considering my appeal and hope to hear from you all soon. AI007007 (talk) 17:05, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
Decline reason:
I suggest you read WP:PAID and WP:COI. I am not enthused about unblocking you to write about the business. I think you will still produce promotional text. Are there any other subjects you want to edit? If you wanted to be a general editor, then I would be more enthusiastic about an unblock. PhilKnight (talk) 18:03, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
(Non-administrator comment) Hi @AI007007:, I'm not an admin but I noticed that your request was a bit broken - your appeal goes into the "Your reason here" bit so I've fixed that for you.
Can I also ask whether you have any connection to the subject of the article? It'll help the admins understand the situation more clearly if you can let us know why you chose to write about them? Blue Sonnet (talk) 17:47, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
- AI007007, I removed your second unblock request because in posting it you removed the declined first unblock request. You must leave declined requests intact.--Bbb23 (talk) 19:05, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
Whoops sorry about that. I am still understanding everything about how Wikipedia does things.
Here is a new one.

I have a greater understanding now of what Wikipedia’s dos and don’ts are in situations like these and why blocks happen in general. Although I do have a connection with Diaza I feel that it is not a significant conflict of interest as I am an unpaid intern plus I only started about two weeks ago. I hope to make edits on a wide range of topics such as classic literature, classic films, and music specifically rock and jazz. I also would like to be able to edit because then I will be able to help the site improve in general whenever I see an edit is to be made whether that is grammar, structure, or even within information. My favorite part about Wikipedia is that it has niches for everyone from video games to geography to perfume. Thank you for considering my appeal and hope to hear from you all soon.
Accept reason:
Unblocked subject to not being allowed to edit the page Diaza directly or to make any edits related to Diaza outside of a draft on Diaza, which must go through WP:AFC. voorts (talk/contributions) 22:07, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Voorts: I agree with your conclusion, but I think the restriction on the user's editing should be broader. How about a topic ban from anything sports-related? If you look at the images the user has uploaded, including the user's comments justifying non-free images, it seems clear that they intended to broaden the scope of their promotion to other articles about sports and sports companies.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:31, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- Bbb23, I don't like doing conditional unblocks unless absolutely necessary, especially with a new editor. If their edits in that subject area become problematic, we can always reblock. voorts (talk/contributions) 17:28, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- A pblock is as "conditional" as a topic ban.--Bbb23 (talk) 19:17, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- A pblock I can just impose. A topic ban as part of a conditional unblock requires the editor to understand what that requires, agree to it, and then navigate the T-ban. voorts (talk/contributions) 20:10, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- In my view, if we're going to unblock the editor, a topic ban is warranted. The fact that it's more complicated for the user should not be a reason to not impose it.--Bbb23 (talk) 21:00, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- I just looked at the images the user uploaded. All of the image summaries talk about how they're going to be used in the Diaza article because those are sports leagues that Diaza sponsors. I don't think they're going to be used for other sports-related edits and I see no evidence of this editor engaging in other sports-related areas.@AI007007: I am planning on unblocking you and instead blocking you directly from editing the page Diaza because you have a very clear conflict of interest (see WP:PAID: unpaid interns are covered by our paid editing policy). If you edit promotionally outside of that article, you may be blocked again. Do you understand that? voorts (talk/contributions) 21:25, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- @AI007007: I am still planning on unblocking you under these terms. Please acknowledge and I will unblock you. voorts (talk/contributions) 19:00, 9 February 2025 (UTC)

- (Non-administrator comment) Hi @AI007007:, I noticed it's been a couple of weeks since you last posted, have you reached a decision yet? Blue Sonnet (talk) 17:36, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- @Blue-Sonnet Is there any way that I can restart an article on Diaza that will contain transparency that I am an intern and that it will not contain promotional language. The company I am looking to write for (Diaza) is connected with Brooklyn FC who already have a Wikipedia page and the World Jai Alai league. AI007007 (talk) 00:25, 6 March 2025 (UTC)

- @AI007007: you would be allowed to create a draft, and then try to get that article approved via an editor who volunteers at articles for creation. If I unblock you, I am going to block you from editing the page Diaza directly. voorts (talk/contributions) 00:49, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Voorts Okay let me talk to my boss and I'll update tomorrow. Thank you. AI007007 (talk) 00:50, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- You also would not be allowed to add content about Diaza to any other article. voorts (talk/contributions) 00:58, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Voorts Understood. AI007007 (talk) 00:59, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Okay @Voorts I agree to your terms. I will not edit the page of Diaza directly and I will not add content about Diaza to any other articles. I would like to go through the process of unblocking. AI007007 (talk) 20:38, 6 March 2025 (UTC)

- Every single edit summary mentions using them in other articles. How they can be interpreted otherwise is beyond me. I also don't think you should unblock the user when I object unless you obtain a consensus for your action.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:31, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

- I don't interpret any of those edit summaries as indications that this editor intends to add disruptive advertising to sports pages:
- The logo for Major League Quadball. The edit summary notes that the image could potentially be used in that article.
- The logo for the World Jai Alai League. The edit summary notes that the image could potentially be used in that article.
- The Diaza logo. The reference to Brooklyn FC (USL) in the edit summary isn't ridiculous given that Diaza is a club sponsor.
- This editor has acknowledged that they are an unpaid intern with Diaza, and I have now informed them that they have a conflict of interest under WP:PAID. Since there is a COI, any further disruption would result in a block, so a TBAN extending beyond the narrow COI seems overbroad to me. I don't see why this editor shouldn't be allowed to update the Super Bowl article, for example. Finally, a page block from Diaza would compel this editor to use AFC, should they wish to try rewriting the article. voorts (talk/contributions) 23:10, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- Regarding the user's edit summaries, you originally said, "I don't think they're going to be used for other sports-related edits and I see no evidence of this editor engaging in other sports-related areas." I responded, "Every single edit summary mentions using them in other articles." You summarized the 3 edit summaries confirming what I said but now shifting your argument saying "I don't see why this editor shouldn't be allowed to update the Super Bowl article, for example." The underlying argument of the user, which you accepted, was that they would edit non-sports articles. This is my last comment because you and I are going in circles with you, in my view, shifting the diagrams to suit your wishes. Unless you have something new to propose, I have nothing more to add to my objection to your resolution of the unblock request.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:25, 9 February 2025 (UTC)

- @AI007007. You can create a draft here. Just type "Diaza" in the box under "Create a new draft" and then press "Create draft". Please note that you must prove that Diaza has significant coverage in several reliable sources, each of which must be independent and secondary. For exaple, if you can find three newspaper articles that "provide[] an overview, description, commentary, survey, study, discussion, analysis, or evaluation" of Diaza, that would satisfy the requirements for publishing a Wikipedia article on Diaza. Churnalism or trivial reporting, such as product announcements, or routine news stories about mergers, financial reporting, etc., do not count towards establishing that Diaza should have an article. voorts (talk/contributions) 22:13, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- When you create the draft, you must also copy and paste the below and place it on the draft talk page:{{Connected contributor (paid)|User1=AI007007|U1-employer=Diaza|U1-client=Diaza|U1-otherlinks=[[Special:Diff/1274332408/1274333346|Declaration]].}} voorts (talk/contributions) 22:19, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
