Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, BurningB, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Information icon Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to 2026 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {CX}) 08:35, 1 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. But the 2021 election was written under the same name, so why is it more difficult to follow?BurningB (talk) 08:39, 1 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation

[edit]

Regarding your move of London River to London River (film), your edit summary stated that disambiguation was needed, but there's no other article about a subject with the same name as far as I can tell. Could you clarify? Cordless Larry (talk) 15:28, 1 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I moved it thinking London River might usually mean the Thames, so added the (film) for clarity. I apologise if I made a mistake. BurningB (talk) 15:34, 1 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see any evidence that people are looking up the article thinking it's about the Thames (and I can't recall ever hearing anyone refer to the Thames as London River). Cordless Larry (talk) 15:48, 1 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Moreover, moving the article wouldn't help anyone looking for the river, unless you proposed to make London River a disambiguation page. There's already a Template:For-text note for readers at the top of the page. I've reverted the move. Cordless Larry (talk) 16:15, 1 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
