Question from Ayemern on User:Ayemern (17:38, 15 June 2025)

[edit]

Musa Iliyasu Musa is a dynamic, forward-thinking student and business leader with a passion for innovation, digital transformation, and leadership. With a keen focus on cybersecurity and a burgeoning career in tech, Musa is already making strides in the telecom industry as a Telecom Site Manager intern at Huawei Technologies and a Business Relationship Manager at Moniepoint MFB.

But that’s just the beginning. Musa is also the driving force behind Visionary Synergy Hub, a digital powerhouse based in Kano, Nigeria, offering a diverse array of services from digital marketing and e-commerce to remote work solutions and business center operations. As the chairman of RUMFOBA Class 2021 and the Public Relations Officer of DEPSOSA, Musa’s leadership shines through in every project he touches, whether it’s managing community engagement, designing impactful business strategies, or fostering collaboration.

His entrepreneurial spirit extends to creating innovative business ventures like a Starlink-based internet service, positioning him as a change-maker in Kano’s digital landscape. Ambitious, strategic, and a true advocate for growth and progress, Musa is not just shaping his future; he's shaping the future of those around him.

Looking forward, he’s committed to making a difference with his ventures, always blending creativity with practicality. Whether he's fine-tuning business plans, leading meetings, or navigating the complexities of tech, Musa is a true visionary in the making. --Ayemern (talk) 17:38, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

BattyBot moved a link to the bottom of an article

[edit]

Hi -- in this edit, the link "[[MOS:TERRORIST]]" got moved from near the top of the article to the very bottom. Any idea what happened?

(IMO the link shouldn't be in the article at all, but just moving it like this wasn't an improvement...) NapoliRoma (talk) 19:17, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@NapoliRoma: I think the issue is that AWB incorrectly presumes the MOS link is an interwiki link, and interwiki links should be at the bottom of the article. I've submitted a bug request to the AWB developers. Thanks for letting me know! GoingBatty (talk) 02:02, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Michaeltrilogycare (01:45, 24 June 2025)

[edit]

How do I stop an insane person from removing all my (factual) edits? --Michaeltrilogycare (talk) 01:45, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Michaeltrilogycare: Hi there! I see that you correctly followed the Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle and discussed the issue with the editor who reverted you and on the article's talk page, and I'm glad you received responses. I see that your edits were reverted because they were perceived as attempts to promote your business, and Wikipedia is not a place for promotion. If you're willing to discuss the topic further in a civil manner, you could try continuing the conversation on the article talk page(s) by discussing the benefits of including specific information that is NOT about your company. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 02:06, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from DOHuffy92 (19:53, 24 June 2025)

[edit]

Any suggestions on how to increase my edits to 10 quickly? I'm trying to edit my company's Wikipedia page on my company's behalf, but from what I understand, I can't upload our new logo until I've made 10 edits. I'm really only participating as an editor so I can help my Marketing manager in getting our Wikipedia page updated.

Thanks! --DOHuffy92 (talk) 19:53, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@DOHuffy92: Hi there, and welcome to Wikipedia! Because of your conflict of interest, you should not be editing the Wikipedia article about your company. Instead, feel free to post edit requests on the article's talk page - Talk:Spirit of Alaska Federal Credit Union - or to use the Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard. I've made some tweaks to the article, including uploading a small version of the company logo. I'll make some more tweaks to the article, including noting where additional references are needed. You could help by providing additional independent published sources on the talk page. Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 01:32, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you kindly! Your addition of the logo is much appreciated. DOHuffy92 (talk) 01:34, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to "cite constitution" template added invalid parameters

[edit]

This BattyBot edit added |origyear=1990 and |year=2015 to {{cite constitution}}. Neither of these are valid parameters, per the template documentation. It's not clear to me that the template supports what the editor was trying to do, by adding two dates, an original date and an amendment date. Documentation about that is not good. wbm1058 (talk) 20:50, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Similar problem with this edit to Constitution of South Carolina. – wbm1058 (talk) 20:55, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Wbm1058: Thank you for making me aware of this issue. I've posted at Template talk:Cite constitution#Parameter for orig-date? to try to get some discussion going. Thanks again, and happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 02:14, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
