Hello, I've made iterative edits - mostly grammar and structure - to the S. Walter Englander article. I noticed you placed the copyedit tag last month. Can you let me know if it looks any better, or what you would suggest/recommend? Thank you greatly.

Question from Phaxman (21:13, 28 September 2024)

[edit]

Hello, GraziePrego!

I am a complete neophyte writing Wikipedia articles, but nevertheless have been trying to clean up, correct, and add to the article on CBS Laboratories, where I worked for several years. I have been adding to it bit by bit, but have just now been informed by a bot, apparently, about significant issues in my last changes.

After following all of the change pages, I now feel that I have understood what I am being asked to change, and why - hopefully you will agree.

Please let me know if I have missed any important items!

Appreciatively, Richard Johnson

Question from Dandel175 (17:12, 24 March 2025)

[edit]

Hi i have created https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:David_Dancey_Wood Im trying to do To move a published draft wiki article to mainspace, you need to be an autoconfirmed user (account at least 4 days old with 10 edits). Then, click "More" and "Move", select "Article" as the namespace, confirm the title, and click "Move page"

but i do not have the More button anyware can you help please --Dandel175 (talk) 17:13, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there,
I have added the Articles For Creation template to the draft. This will allow you to submit the article to be reviewed, and then someone can accept it and move it into mainspace.
Looking at the Draft I don't believe this article is currently suitable for mainspace. The images in the article are listed as being creative commons which I find surprising if they're examples of an artist's work? The writing is also very praising of David and doesn't seem encyclopaedic. If those are fixed up then it may be accepted when you submit. Also make sure the subject is WP:NOTABLE enough. Hi there, please do not use the term 'Aborigines' as it is widely considered offensive in Australia. Thank you for your well-intentioned edit. Poketama (talk) 08:21, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the clarification @Poketama, as a fellow Australian I am aware of that- the bit I was reverting was the edit which introduced incorrect wording- saying there were x thousand "peoples" which wasn't correct as that implies x thousand separate groups, which was not the intended meaning of the sentence. Articles for Creation backlog drive

[edit]

Hello GraziePrego:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in June!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 1 month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 June 2025 through 30 June 2025.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3200 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Quit stalking me.

You argue in bad faith, and are contributing absolutely nothing to the discussion. I never claimed that you were Hand That Feels or had the same reasons, so to claim that's what I said is just moronic to the extreme. You said I didn't listen to what editors said, I pointed out that some editors clearly had an agenda as I then proved to you - you then turn round and say thats not you - I never claimed it was.

For the record, it is wrong to oppose me for moral/personal reasons. I would expect you to have known that seeing as you've made (check notes... wow) 11,000 edits in 5 years.

Leave me alone. Icecold (talk) 11:16, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Says the editor that keeps popping up uninvited in my discussions with other editors on their talk pages and has made 11,000 edits in 5 years, yet I'm the one taking wikipedia too seriously and need a lie down? Okay... I think we're done here. As I said, leave me alone, quit hounding me. I will no longer reply. Icecold (talk) 11:26, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Clintplayz (05:17, 28 May 2025)

[edit]

Hallo!! Uhh do people usually dislike/downvote edit revisions? I corrected the page regarding the "List of wars by death tolls" by removing the Javanese wars, which the last revision had it on the 2nd spot above the mongolian conquest (along with it's Deaths being "0.23 million", no percentage, and no citation), while my edit is the current revision, my edit has been disliked/downvoted 110+ times, is that normal? --The Player (talk) 05:17, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ah I see what you mean- the “-110” is the number of characters you removed from the page, not upvotes or downvotes :) GraziePrego (talk) 05:21, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Clintplayz (05:21, 28 May 2025)

Greetings!! Please disregard the last question I have asked, since i have researched and found that the numbers indicates that the edit added/removed a number of bytes (corresponding to characters) to the page, my apologies --The Player (talk) 05:21, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
