[edit]Hi KevFoote, nice work on Yamaha FZ750: thank-you! Just to let you know, if you comment out some content with <!-- you have to close the comment with a -->. Otherwise all of the article up until the next comment is hidden. I've fixed this for you in Yamaha FZ750 where you had, I think inadvertently, suppressed display of the infobox as well as the tag. Thanks Wham. It’s a lot better now. It’s annoyed me for years. 82.30.189.159 (talk) 21:24, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Moto Guzzi Late Model Tonti Motorcycles moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Moto Guzzi Late Model Tonti Motorcycles, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~StyyxTalk? 18:30, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Styyx, im working on that now. The article is sweeping up missing models. Ive referenced 3 books that I own. Thanks Kev KevFoote (talk) 20:25, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
- Styyx, can you give me access to the article so i can fix it please and add in addtional references please. Thhanks Kev KevFoote (talk) 20:28, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

I also restored the link to Moto Guzzi Le Mans images stored at Wikimedia Commons which had been recently deleted - I'm guessing it was done in one of your hundreds of changes. I also taggged the guzzi owners club reference you added for obscure speed records - these type of fan clubs are not considered as impartial reliable sources. Thank you.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 00:43, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- OK Thanks. I didntt know this. I saw the note of the speed record. I will look for another source. Thanks Kev KevFoote (talk) 06:24, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- OK, thanks, there is much to learn and be applied. Would you know if Le Mans 1 was ever produced in yellow? I was introduced to a collector with about 60 bikes probably six years ago, and he didn't know if it was a standard colour. Did look attractive though. Having so many, I didn't get the histories behind most of the bikes. It was an impromptu meeting, and I didn't have any spectacles, a camera, or torch; the Guzzi was in a loft-type museum setting, but lit only by a skylight.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 12:31, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- There is. I had no idea about the social links. Ive done that on other pages ive done, so i need to take them out. Ive never heard of a yellow LM1, i dont believe its stock and there is no mention of it in my books. Only Red and blue to my knowledge. I know it also says white on the page (i didnt write that). What might have happened and ive seen it before with my old Ducati's is that the finish was so poor and the bikes bad sellers, that dealer sometimes re-painted them at there own expense just to move them. IVe had people swear blind they bough bikes in non ducato colours brand new and I suspect this is what happened. It was common to paint the old Ducati's red, cos I guess everyone wanted a red one.
- I'll keep work on the page to bring it up to standard. I got permission from MGNOC to use their pictures and I found another source. I also have another Guzzi page (to sweep up the models that have no page) in draft so may need you help to get that up. Thanks again Kev KevFoote (talk) 14:49, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for that. The colour reminded me of Ford, think it was called Daytona Yellow; they did Capris and Cortina Mk3s in it, early-ish 1970s. I spoke to an Asda employee a few years ago who was previously a paint sprayer - he was doing a van in Stagecoach orange (bus company) - whatever they could get hold of! Paint has always been expensive. rgds,--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 17:37, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

Speed attempt in prose
[edit]The Austin Chronicle source does not mention either of the two names (Ross and Freshour), neither does it verify the figures quoted in the Wikipedia text. Also, doesn't mention how/who it was timed (what the run-up length was) - I surmise AMA, but if this is so it would be only an American national record, not world as FIM have to be there.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 21:07, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
