Adding empty section

[edit]

What is the point of adding an empty filmography section to Sky Brown, as in Special:Diff/1009073625? Either add the section with some information on her film/TV appearances, or leave the article without that section. But adding an empty section adds no value to the article, and just makes it look messy. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:17, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of American Dad! characters, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Of Ice and Men. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:02, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Jeff Dunham

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for working to improve the site with your edit to Jeff Dunham, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edit had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. Thanks for your contributions to Putri Ariani. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it has no sources, it has too many problems of language or grammar and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 11:03, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi PowerRanger200. We keep going back and forth on the Golden Buzzer annotations for AGT Season 19. I do not believe there is anything wrong with the annotations I have added, but for some reason you are continually removing them. If you are the official owner of that page, then I apologize and will leave the page along, but if you are just another editor like I am I respectfully ask that you leave my annotations as-in. They are factual and helpful to the topic. JimFlath (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 02:41, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your addition of an unsourced date of birth to Sofia Pernas. In addition to Wikipedia's basic principle of citing sources (Wikipedia:Citing sources), a special need for citations applies with regard to elements of a biography of a living person (WP:BLPPRIVACY). Feel free to add a date of birth when it is accompanied by a citation to a reliable, published, non-primary source. Eddie Blick (talk) 20:30, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Meters. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Los Osos High School, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Meters (talk) 04:33, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Aidan Bryant requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://aidan-bryant.com/about/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at America's Got Talent season 20. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Please stop adding Messoudi Brothers to the table until the episode actually airs- it remains unsourced as well as WP:CRYSTALBALL. Please also note that the act is advertised online as 'Light Wire', so continuing to remove the spacing is incorrect. Magitroopa (talk) 20:32, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on America's Got Talent season 20. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Magitroopa (talk) 01:17, 4 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please also see sources such as these:
Continuing to removing the spacing from the act's name is entirely incorrect, as you've already been warned previously. Magitroopa (talk) 01:22, 4 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
