List of 2024–25 Super Rugby transfers

[edit]

Hi Rugbyfan22, I've noticed you have made the new article List of 2024–25 Super Rugby transfers. Thanks for the effort, but may I ask why you've changed the format (and not discuss this change first)? I really prefer the previous format, which provides more comprehensive information. I realise this new format is used for other competitions, but one of the big downsides for me is that in this format you only see the "Players in" and "Players out", not the players that have stayed with a club. To get that information, you always have to click further to another page, while the "old" format gives you the information on one and the same page. Do you have any objection to going back to the format that we used for previous seasons? Ruggalicious (talk) 08:09, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Ruggalicious:, I've only changed the format this for ease of creation. I could put together the basic article in a day, hopefully if I have more time or if other users have more time they can convert back to the usual standard. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 18:57, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Rugbyfan22! I've already started converting it to the usual format (not published, obviously). I expect to have a bit more time for it in the coming days. Ruggalicious (talk) 06:40, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, I unfortunately don't have the time currently. I'm keen to try and improve the statistics and record page but again just don't have the time to do bar the basics at the moment. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 18:55, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Taranaki (NPC) team page

[edit]

Hi there, why do you keep undoing the updates I make to the page? I had made the content more accurate, concise and relevant to the purpose of the page.

I understand that you created the page, but it’s rather childish to revert changes that it seems you personally don’t like – especially when the edits are an uplift of the exisiting content.

There’s plenty of content on the page that was or still is out of date. If you care so much, perhaps apply that care to all the content on the page. Alternatively, please get out of the way of those of us who are Taranaki rugby SMEs and who do care. Romanholidayfargofog (talk) 12:54, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Choice of Dab naming

[edit]

Hi, about 4 years ago you moved Andrew Brown (rugby union, born 10 April 1980) to make space for Andrew Brown (rugby union, born 20 April 1980). Do you think it would be better to have them at Andrew Brown (Australia rugby union) & Andrew Brown (Wales Rugby union) or similar (Australian/Welsh etc)? People know nationalities more than exact dates of birth. The-Pope (talk) 06:17, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, The first disambiguation has always been the approved one for rugby union, we only tend to use nationality when we can't get a birthdate at all. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 18:42, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Super Rugby Name

[edit]

Hi! Just letting you know that I am pretty sure it is officially "Super Rugby Pacific". The discussion was on the article title. Not the intro. You can even see down below in the Super Rugby article. Thank you. Servite et contribuere (talk) 09:21, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Servite et contribuere, I've changed it back to what it was. The 4th paragraph (not 12th as I typed by mistake in the edit summary) of the intro sufficiently covers the name "Super Rugby Pacific". Ruggalicious (talk) Ruggalicious (talk) 09:45, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ruggalicious Thanks for letting me know. But I honestly think it should be in the opening. Thanks for your understanding. Cheers! Servite et contribuere (talk) 09:58, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
