Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Wikibiascheck, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Dov Charney, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, which will be reviewed by other editors. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

- Hi Counterfeit, I was looking into the general history of LA Apparel and found that a negative slant towards Charney does exist for his page. While I do agree that the underlying information is mostly factual, it seems that the context of the information provided is skewed in a negative light. It's one of the few articles I've come across on Wikipedia I've felt this the case.
- The reason why I stumbled onto this was because I was researching into the efficacy of protocols implemented during the outbreak of COVID-19 in the United States and saw that information about Charney was presented in a way that was either disingenuous or malicious. Foremost, from my research it seemed that this particular company had pivoted their business model as many other businesses had. In this instance, many immigrants in the United States were able to support their families due to the quick actions of the company. The more I looked into this figure, I found the bias on your website a bit unsettling. This figure was allowed to perform his duties as CEO for years, and, if I'm not mistaken, the company not only offered him a severance package but also hoped to retain him as a creative director, only without the controlling power of CEO.
- While I do believe much of the information about Charney is correct, it should be presented in a fair manner, particularly given the fact that this is a biography about a living person. I found it odd this person's biography revolves mostly around his termination and the sexual assault cases. I was hoping to contextualize some of the information about happenings during COVID-19 tonight given some of my findings about what happened at the plant tonight, but I suppose I could be more comprehensive. Given that this is my first page I've selected to edit, I wouldn't mind looking in the figure at greater length as a general exercise. The more I've researched into him, well, it seems to me there could be much more discourse around his body of work as a whole rather than what seems to me heavily editorialized snapshots of a few negative instances in this person's life. - @Wikibiascheck The place to discuss this would be Talk:Dov Charney, but generally speaking Wikipedia reflects what has been written and said on a given subject. If coverage is generally negative then the Wikipedia article will probably reflect that. Charney's article reflects what he is best known for. Counterfeit Purses (talk) 02:55, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
- Which is why I'm rather confused. When I look at the facts, the coverage, and the contents as discussed on Wikipedia, I see discrepancies leaning towards bias, some of which is false. That is the issue and why I thought why not edit this article. I may or may not take some time to review this tomorrow. Wikibiascheck (talk) 04:49, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
