[edit] Hello, I'm R Prazeres. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Banu Ammar, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. R Prazeres (talk) 17:29, 4 February 2024 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Banu Ammar. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. R Prazeres (talk) 18:29, 9 February 2024 (UTC)

Notes about recent articles
[edit]Hi Wikiknight7, can you please make sure that you have reviewed Wikipedia:Notability? You have been rapidly creating a large number of articles about battles, but some of them may not satisfy that criteria, which means they could be deleted later. If a battle or siege is mentioned only briefly in references without providing many details about the battle itself, then it most likely does not need its own article. Instead, it could be summarized in an already-existing article (which is also more likely to be seen by readers).
Aside from that, please also remember to provide page numbers in your citations: most of the citations in your articles do not do this. Even when you provide a link (which is still very helpful), those links may become dead over time and then it becomes difficult to verify what the sources say without knowing which page was consulted.
Let me know if you have any questions about this. Thanks, R Prazeres (talk) 03:05, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- hello @R Prazeres, thank you for the advice, my goal from creating those pages is to fill up the Taifa age battles since it was so empty I can barely see 2 or 3 articles, I really did not see the Wikipedia:Notability I apologize, yes it's true that some of my articles do not include many details about the battles, but the Taifa period battles are really limited in details, most Historians talk about the conflict between two kings or more and then the place of it, without that much detailing, am asking you if I can rewrite those articles in the same writing of the Battle of Cabra or Zirid conquest of Málaga since both are from the same period and aren't detailed, maybe removing the "Background-Battle-Aftermath" sections would be useful, but I have noticed that the Siege of Granada (1018) have those sections but not detailed, same as my articles.
- About citation, am new here i will make sure to learn about doing what you provided in order to make articles much better.
- Thanks Wikiknight7 (talk) 10:52, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for reading and acknowledging feedback. Also, to be clear: you weren't doing anything bad, this is just a general instruction so that you spend your time on what's most important and what's most likely to remain a useful part of Wikipedia. Of course, it's normal that some articles are small and we don't expect every new article to be large or exhaustive. As long as there is more information to find in published sources, then articles can still be improved and expanded in the future. Happy editing, R Prazeres (talk) 21:55, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
