Fails the notability guideline. We can't have an article on every town in Nigeria. a little insignificant 20:40, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep As long as it's a real place, what have you got against Nigeria? General announcement (talk) 20:51, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- I don't have anything against Nigeria, the article just didn't seem to meet the notability requirements. I'm not intricately familiar with the geography guideline, though, so there's an excellent chance I'm mistaken. a little insignificant 20:56, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- The "guideline" is actually one of the five pillars: Wikipedia is a gazetteer, among its other functions, and has lots of articles on really really tiny places. (This Polish town is my favourite. It has a population of 54.) It's established custom and practice that articles about verifiable geographic locations are notable.—S Marshall Talk/Cont 21:13, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- S Marshall, you are a fount of knowledge, and thanks to you I learned a new word in this strange language of yours: "gazetteer." Ha! Ottawa4ever, thanks to you also for the link. S Marshall, feel like performing a speedy keep here? Ta! Drmies (talk) 21:37, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Thank you all, and sorry for the trouble. a little insignificant 21:45, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
