All but two of the sources appear to be primary. Of the two that are arguably secondary, 6 and 9, I wouldn't consider either terribly reliable. 6 is presented as an interview with the icon's designer, but it doesn't seem to actually be an interview (this website uses the exact same questions for every designer it covers, so I would argue it's less of an interview and more of an article written by the "interviewee"). And 9 is a GitHub issue (which falls under WP:USERGENERATED). I did a cursory search and was unable to find any real secondary coverage of "The Language Icon", or even about language icons in general. Thus, I don't think it's notable enough for an article. - Doing a source search, I would note an EIN Presswire article. There does seem to be a lot in the repurposed news category for a lot of the sources I'm turning up. And while WP:Notability (artwork) doesn't exist, WP:NBOOK and WP:NFILM both have provisions for an award. If we were to apply a similar reasoning here, I think the specific icon has won awards. Any source mentioning that in my search though, is of course, primary to the award. Bobby Cohn (talk) 18:22, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
- The EIN article is a good find; I didn't see that one. Worth noting, though, that it seems to be written by A' Design Award and Competition SRL, the same group that operates languageicon.org. Justin Kunimune (talk) 11:51, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Delete: Anything encyclopedic here is a brief mention at Icon (computing), but I don't see anything worth merging. Even if this were a more reified term worth 10× the citable RS, it'd be better as part of a larger article. Remsense ‥ 论 13:39, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Delete despite my best efforts at a search, I don't think this meets the GNG. I will concede that given the name of the subject, searching is difficult. I would be interested if anyone is able to find anything. Bobby Cohn (talk) 15:29, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Delete due to lack of reliable sources. There’s lots of self-references, but that’s it. Bearian (talk) 02:55, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
