The result of the discussion was: deleted on technical critera (identical file now on commons), but re-tagged the commons image as "no permission". Uploader has made contradictory statements about whether this is their own image or taken from some other website. Since at least on one occasion he says it was previously on another website, he needs to provide explicit proof of licensing status from the owners of that other website, through the usual OTRS channels (see instructions on deletion tag). Fut.Perf. ☼ 06:42, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Uploader claims that the image is his and that it was posted on angelfire/sds/kingofsanda/lamakungu.html (which I can not access). This was tagged twice as it did not have a templated license & the uploader reverted to the state where it sill does not have a templated license. Still no locatable source or license. Skier Dude (talk) 03:58, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- This seems unnecessary since it was disussed before and previous admins agreed it is fine and there is no issue. It's a picture I personally own and I thus should have the right to upload it. How does one establish a "license" for a picture you have in your collection that is just a photo, it isn't from a magazine, it isn't from a book, it's just a photo? This is discused on the articles talk page as well! Nysanda (talk) 04:41, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If Nysanda did take the photo, then it's his, and according to the page, it's in the public domain, which is allowed. Plus it is used in an article. I see no reason to delete this. This could also be uploaded to Commons. Techman224Talk 20:57, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: deleted, fails NFCC#8, no convincing justification of why this particular image is needed to understand the article. Fut.Perf. ☼ 06:49, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Possibly replaceable, and was tagged as such. However, this is a borderline case, so I've brought it here for discussion. PhilKnight (talk) 09:28, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Non-free image of guys with guns, used just to make the point that these guys use guns. Although it would be difficult to produce a replacement image, the relevant information on this picture can be replaced by free text. Damiens.rf 15:09, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- A non-free picture showing gay men marching for gay rights, used (on three different articles) just to make the point that these gay men marched for gay rights. All relevant encyclopedic information contained on this image can be (and indeed already is) transmitted with text alone. This is a nice, touching and beautiful image, and it would be great to use it... but we do have a policy on the use of non-free content that establishes a higher bar for the use of such material. - Image being used solely to illustrate the prize for a drawing associated with the promotion of an album. There doesn't appear to be anything particularly notable about this item to justify the use of a second non-free image in what is otherwise a routine album article. (ESkog)(Talk) 15:34, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Its not a "drawing". Its a drum skin. Which has been signed by the 5 members in the band. I feel the image is notable as it something coveted enough to warrant a competition. Its also not unofficial, the band/management itself is running it. Suede67 (talk) 16:54, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Part of a book cover, used only in the Arthur Koestler article. Prezbo (talk) 19:49, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- The positioning if this image of Arthur and Cynthia Koestler into that part of the Arthur Koestler article which deals with their joint suicide and their Last Will and Testament, is not out of place there and the image serves the article well. I have reversed some of Prezbo’s recent edit’s to the Koestler article and this request to delete the image seems an unwarranted emotional pay-back. There is no need or reason to delete the image. Keep it. It enhances the article. 3ig-350125 (talk) 22:11, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
