Megathread (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Soft redirect to a Wiktionary entry for a neologism. Should we have soft redirects for the entire contents of Urban Dictionary? That seems to be against policy. Guy (help!) 16:45, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Soft redirects apparently don't play nice with RfD, I think it would be simpler if we just carry out this discussion here. signed, Rosguill talk 22:21, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Rosguill I think I know what the issue may be; it's the fact that there's no #REDIRECT link. Can you instead try temporarily updating the page to #REDIRECT wikt:megathread, and re-tagging? I suspect that will work. If it closes other than "delete," we can manually restore the soft redirect. --Doug Mehus T·C 22:26, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Dmehus, looks like that works, as long as you also remove the MfD tag (otherwise it thinks that it's not a redirect). Closing here. signed, Rosguill talk 22:33, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
