Content of 72 text messages

[edit]

What was the general content of the 72 text messages? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 15:14, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A small amount of the context has been released (see recent expansion), but the sources cited have specifically said the details haven't been released because they overlapped with Holmberg's time in the senate, making his communications potentially privileged from public release. — Fourthords | =Λ= | 17:40, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

concision, OR, V, & others

[edit]

In the event my edit summary was again unclear, and since there was no other suggesting understanding, I'll further explain my recent two edits ([1] & [2]):

  • As the sentencing guidelines are defined in months, it is good parallel language structure to describe the actual sentencing the same way (120 months), with the ten years included (in parentheses). "About three years" is is present at the source, which I've also included parenthetically.
  • The cited source does not verify whether or not Judge Hovland considered Holmberg's age when describing him as a threat.
  • What prosecutors say they would have done, under different circumstances that didn't actually arise, is irrelevant. They also would have presumably charged him with murder and genocide if they'd had evidence, but they didn't, and it's equally irrelevant.
  • The cited source does not verify a length of time for sex-offender registration, nor does his future & possible registration need to be repeated.

On top of these specific issues, the language was otherwise repetitive and unnecessarily verbose. I would recommend editors pursue a discussion here, rather than continue making changes with single-word edit summaries. — Fourthords | =Λ= | 21:15, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
