Retirement

[edit]

Dumb question: Is he retired now? I assume he must be.

Side note: He deleted his Twitter account, @SaMoCole.

No, I have now added his current gig (located via his linked-in): Exec director for the Congress for the New Urbanism. --Nat Gertler (talk) 23:28, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia's rules on notability

[edit]

User:Adflatuss recently made this edit and commented:

News of the arrest of Cole's daughter lacks notability, see WP:INVALIDBIO. Also see WP:1E.

The first one says, "That person A has a relationship with well-known person B, such as being a spouse or child, is not a reason for a standalone article on A (unless significant coverage can be found on A); relationships do not confer notability. However, person A may be included in the related article on B."

But this wasn't about creating a new article. This was about including information in this article.

The second one says, "When an individual is significant for their role in a single event, it may be unclear whether an article should be written about the individual, the event or both."

Again, this was not about creating a new article. This was about including information in this article.

What do other editors think of those two wikipedia policies as they apply to that specific edit?
