Re: Statues

[edit]
Are we really creating articles for statues?

Yes. Is there a reason we should not? Wikipedia has articles on every significant subject under the Sun. You've been here for almost two decades and know this. Why the bias against statues? What did they ever do to you? Viriditas (talk) 09:08, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Raju (Tamil militant). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Liz Read! Talk! 21:41, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Obi2canibe,
This Category:Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam bombers has been tagged and untagged 5 times over the past day. Please start a discussion on the article talk page instead of just reverting the other editor. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 21:45, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon The page Kokkilai massacre (disambiguation) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguated only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ended in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguated zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • was a redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that did not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. – robertsky (talk) 02:33, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
