If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
- Please make sure you really need technical assistance before making a request here. In particular, if the target page is a redirect back to the source page that has only one revision, you can usually move the page normally.
- To list a technical request: Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:
This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
{{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}
the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

[edit]- Eero (wireless networking brand) → Eero (currently a redirect instead to Eero (name)) (move · discuss) – complete move after moving Eero to Eero (disambiguation) —Locke Cole • t • c 00:12, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
- I dunno... Are we saying that this is WP:PRIMARYTOPIC including long-term significance criteria? I'm on the fence and won't formally oppose if anyone feels different, but with traffic of only ~136 hits/day, it doesn't seem like that many people are searching for this in the first place. Academically, Books and Scholar search results for "eero" provide several possibilities. In an attempt to remove advertising results, trying to search on duckduckgo, the results are still the router system, but the sidebar is Eero Saarinen... Why him? I don't know, but his traffic is also higher than the brand as well (top hit in books). -2pou (talk) 18:15, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
- The page views for the router company article are 10× what the given name/surname article gets. Because of all the page moves recently, it's hard to see whether people visiting the original Eero article clicked through to the wifi/router company but my suspicion is they did. Regardless, readers come here to read the router/wifi article more than the name dab page. —Locke Cole • t • c 18:51, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
Why him?
Because he was the architect of the Gateway Arch, among other iconic structures in the U.S. Calling him "Saarinen" is ambiguous because of his father, also an architect. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 05:49, 1 July 2025 (UTC)

- List of ministers of foreign affairs of Namibia → Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Namibia) (currently a redirect back to List of ministers of foreign affairs of Namibia) (move · discuss) – To align with the other articles about Namibian government structure where the ministry has an article, and the ministers are listed in it Pgallert (talk) 15:52, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- List of recipients of the Paralympic Order → Paralympic Order (currently a redirect instead to Paralympic symbols#Paralympic Order) (move · discuss) – Better (wider) scope – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 16:21, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Barclay Hills Education Center → Parchment Innovation Center (move · discuss) – School was renamed Zootcats (talk) 16:37, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Zootcats do you have any secondary, independent sources for this? Sources that would meet WP:NAMECHANGES in particular - this article is already lacking in sources and is at risk of deletion as such, so anything showing the name change (not from the parchment schools website, as that would be primary and thusly unusable) ASUKITE 17:47, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- I found one article which uses the new name. https://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/2024/04/teachers-students-saddle-up-for-donkey-basketball-fundraiser.html Google Street View would also show that the text on the building was updated Zootcats (talk) 18:02, 2 July 2025 (UTC)

- Delaware Valley → Greater Philadelphia (currently a redirect back to Delaware Valley) (move · discuss) – This move was proposed earlier, and it was determined that a discussion about it was best before doing anything. The discussion took place here and, after one week, there were three of us supporting the move and one opposed, with those in support agreeing that "Greater Philadelphia" is a more recognizable and unambiguous name to prevent any confusion that the article may be about the Delaware River Valley. Red0ctober22 (talk) 02:51, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- T-155 Fırtına → T-155 Firtina (currently a redirect back to T-155 Fırtına) (move · discuss) – It was originally T-155 Firtina, but later some Turkish editors thought using Turkish in English wikipedia was a good idea for some reason (probably nationalism?). Just going back to English form. I wrote on Talk if anyone against going back to English and none replied with objection so far. Kadrun (talk) 03:11, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- Tingin (currently a redirect to Cup of Joe (band)) → Tingin (song) (move · discuss) – Since there are no other songs or articles with the same title. This would make the title simpler and follow Wikipedia's naming guidelines. AdobongPogi (talk) 13:47, 3 July 2025 (UTC)

[edit]- Sirius XM → SiriusXM (currently a redirect back to Sirius XM) (move · discuss) – The title should be one word, as this reflects the official branding of the company (additionally, in official legal paperwork, the company is also listed as "SiriusXM Holdings, Inc."). A similar example to this is AutoZone, the auto parts company. Red0ctober22 (talk) 02:16, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Red0ctober22 this should be discussed as it was discussed back in 2019, even if fairly low in participation. This is also a popular article and would probably benefit from the attention. ASUKITE 13:08, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- I second. WP:TITLE "Wikipedia [...] generally prefers the name that is most commonly used." Based off of their branding, I would say that SiriusXM is commonly used. As a matter of fact, I don't recall ever seeing it mentioned as "Sirius XM." Their current website addresses the name as "SiriusXM." Additionally, the name/logo is a trademark, so I believe we should format it as described in WP:BRANDING, which states that (if I interpreted it correctly) it must match or be as close as possible to the branding. In their logos/corporate branding, there is no space clearly visible between "Sirius" and "XM."
- (I have no clue if this comment belongs here or on the talk page of Sirus XM itself, if it is in the wrong place, please let me know) ItsTheComedianYT (talk) 21:03, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

- Focus Entertainment → Focus Entertainment Publishing (move · discuss) – Title of the page is confusing, readers may confuse it with the parent company (which was once named Focus Entertainment as well). - Baltimore → Baltimore, Maryland (currently a redirect back to Baltimore) (move · discuss) – The U.S. state that the city resides in should be specified. NotJamestack (talk) 17:55, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- @NotJamestack Baltimore is considered the common name as it is well-recognized and unambigious, so the current title is correct - any changes would require a discussion. ASUKITE 18:29, 2 July 2025 (UTC)

- The Unsleeping Eye (novel) → The Continuous Katherine Mortenhoe (currently a redirect back to The Unsleeping Eye (novel)) (move · discuss) – This British novel’s article uses a title only used on an out of print American edition instead of the book’s original British title which is also used by the in-print American edition. Sipiso (talk) 17:39, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Article states that "Death Watch" is another title that's been used, because of the movie adaptation. Should be discussed to determine correct title, though I suspect the above request is correct. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 18:50, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Paraona bicolor → Eilema bicolor (move · discuss) – Updated taxonomy in accordance with Volynkin, 2024 https://www.researchgate.net/publication/381113072_On_the_taxonomy_of_the_Oriental_genus_Paraona_Moore_with_descriptions_of_a_new_genus_a_new_species_and_introduction_of_new_synonymies_Lepidoptera_Erebidae_Arctiinae_Lithosiini TheLivingDanish1 (talk) 19:55, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- Why does Eilema bicolor currently redirect to a different species? * Pppery * it has begun... 18:13, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
- There are two different species. One is from North America and was described by Grote in 1864, the other is from Madagascar and was described by Toulgoët in 1968. The current circumscription of Eilema restricts it the Old World, but under the rules of zoological nomenclature, Toulgoët's species will need a new specific epithet if it is placed in Eilema. I'm really surprised that somebody publishing in 2024 failed to check whether they were creating a homonym. The linked reference says "The species is herein tentatively placed in the genus Eilema, to which the majority of the Madagascan Lithosiini is still associated, until the generic revision of the Madagascan footman moths is published (Volynkin, in prep.)." Hopefully Volynkin will fix the homonym in his upcoming publication. For now, I'd suggest making Eilema bicolor into a disambiguation page. Plantdrew (talk) 17:00, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
