Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Japan|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

Move to Draftspace It seems like some effort has been put into this company's Wikipedia page, but it seems to have no sources of note or that meet Wikipedia standards. Redirect at first instance - draftifying is nice, but a cursory search doesn't yield a lot unless there is WP:NONENG coverage out there. The article patently fails WP:NCORP and the article is written in a way that merely lists the games published instead of providing background information - see WP:NOTWORK. Redirect to List of Buddhist temples in Japan, as the nominator has stated, this temple lacks in-depth, independent coverage. Article appears to be an unattributed translation of as their format any content are identical. Another thing worth mentioning is that, according to , there are multiple temples with the same name, and the name hits mentioned by the nominator may be inflated by that. Delete per WP:NLIST. I've seen similar lists survive deletion before, but that's where the sourcing covers the entire information presented, and doesn't go overboard with plot minutiae. Given the principle that plot is generally self-sourced from the work, the first part is more fatal to WP:NLIST than the latter. It is way too much though. Weak Keep. The article was split from the main Uma Musume Pretty Derby article last March, which had 223k bytes prior to the split, and the character list made up a good chunk of that at the time. While I'm not sure if the list as is is particularly well written, I also don't think that merging it back in to the main article would be helpful for the average reader, let alone deleting the article outright with no explanation of who makes an appearance. --Jnglmpera (talk) 07:56, 9 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Keep per WP:SURMOUNTABLE. These characters are mentioned in reliable sources (as used in the article and per WP:A&M/ORS) which include Anime News Network, Nikkan Sports, Comic Natalie and Oricon. Merge to Biological Weapons Convention, which seems to be the only area where this grouping has any relevance. There is sigcov in reliable sources [1][2][3], but since this grouping is apparently only relevant at the conferences on this particular convention I don't see the need for a standalone article. @LibStar and @Piotrus at Hanyang, would you be okay with a merge? Support merge to BWC. A JSTOR search turned up reliable sources including Becker (2007) [4], Meier (2006) [5], Becker (2008) [6], which confirm that JACKSNNZ is an informal coordination group focused narrowly on BWC-related issues. Fire-King

This article has existed for over 20 years and does not have any citations that are not primary sources (that is, from Anchor Hocking, the company that makes Fire-King branded glass products). The lack of citations has been noted before. The claims made on this page may be true. But citations have not surfaced. Keep It's clear from the list in Further Reading that there are 6 books about Fire-king glassware, so it clearly meets WP:GNG with plenty of specific named, independent, reliable, significiant secondary sources. I just got a notification, I've no issue one way or the other, but instead of deletion I would hope that a redirect to the embassy's page would be better. A bit unrelated but I also wanted to know whether the idea of merging ambassadorial lists to their respective embassy articles is better than a standalone article for the former, not only for this particular case or country in general but for a number of them as I notice that a number are outdated and both article types could very well be improved that way and make for easier reading. Tales of Commons

This was a redirect, blown up to article size--but the supplied links are basically all company sources and manuals, and I cannot find any secondary sources either. A redirect to Tales of Mobile is the proper solution. Drmies (talk) 19:28, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

As said earlier, I do not see the need for deletion when the alternative, Tales of Mobile, is empty and mostly bland, offering no informations whatsoever. I followed closely the formats of other Tales games, adding references, links and everything. A lot of game pages (especially for old i-mode games like this) could realistically fit into a main page, Xenosaga Pied Piper could be deleted and just be a passing mention on the main Xenosaga article, BCFFVII could be deleted and just have its content in the "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII" article. Both of those coexist with one another and with no problems with the dedicated page adding on to what is missing on the other ones. As for links, I do not see the problem when pages like Tales of the World: Summoner's Lineage which has no external link except a simple blog, no references, no nothing and yet this page is still allowed to exist despite being less well put together than Tales of Commons which properly source everything and uses different websites rather than just sticking to the same.   I'm gonna have to compare it for this reply. Unlike other random articles, it and the other 4 mobile articles were covered by well-known respect and Japanese tech and gaming media like ITmedia, dengeki or Gaming Tech alongside official sources from the parent company. That's already 3 reliable sources. I am sorry but I will once again compare it to Tales Summoner Lineage which has nothing supporting it having its own page.

Redirect - sourcing is very short and weak, not enough to support a stand-alone article (as evidenced by the fact that probably over half of the article remains unsourced with little improvements in the last week or two.) The whole reason the the Tales of Mobile article exists is to serve as a landing point for all of these minor titles. None of these spinouts from it should have been created, as they all share the same sourcing issues and half-baked implementation. Note to closer: IgelRM's redirect !vote was placed higher up in the discussion, but was added after one of the relist, so there is a consensus developing post-relists.
