Welcome—request protection of a page, file, or template here. | ||
---|---|---|
Before requesting, read the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. Extended confirmed protection is used where semi-protection has proved insufficient (see the rough guide to extended confirmed protection) After a page has been protected, it is listed in the page history and logs with a short rationale, and the article is listed on Special:ProtectedPages. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins should not revert to specific versions of the page, except to get rid of obvious vandalism.

Place requests for protection increases at the BOTTOM of this section. If you cannot find your request, check the archive of requests or, failing that, the page history. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
Extended confirmed protection: Arbitration enforcement. EatingCarBatteries (contributions, talk) 03:19, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Pending changes: Infrequently disruptively edited; also, this page probably doesn't need to be edited by the average user, but requesting PC because of the small possibility. Justjourney (talk | contribs) 03:59, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Repeated unconstructive editing from IPs has continued since prior protection lapsed. — Trailblazer101🔥 (discuss · contribs) 04:29, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Reason: Recently the target of persistent IP vandalism. Mark and inwardly digest (talk) 05:26, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Several editors seem to be warring over vandalism. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 05:57, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Temporary semi-protection: Content Dispute/Edit Warring. I think it is a edit warring by IP Addresses. They editing the Biniverse World Tour 2025 and SB19's Simula at Wakas World Tour. They're editing the attendance of two concerts, however, Simula at Wakas World Tour didn't stated how many attendees are and they're editing without a verifiable sources and ignoring the hidden note. ROY is WAR Talk! 06:48, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Reason: Please fully protect this page as anonymous users have been repeatedly editing and adding personal information, including the spouse's name, which the concerned individual does not wish to be publicly available. This is a serious privacy concern, and I respectfully request that the spouse’s name be removed from the page and that fully protection measures be applied to prevent further unauthorized edits. 164.100.26.108 (talk) 10:23, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- You should also make revision deletion requests if these edits go against our policies on living people - OpalYosutebito 『talk』 『articles I want to eat』 20:21, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Indefinite template protection: Contentious topic restriction. ARBPIA, high-risk template RaschenTechner (talk) 12:48, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- It only has 126 transclusions (according to the template count), so wouldn't extended-confirmed be more appropriate? - OpalYosutebito 『talk』 『articles I want to eat』 20:33, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Reason: High level of IP vandalism. Many films listed on the page were not worked on by Hans Zimmer. For example, The Avengers, Forrest Gump, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Despicable Me. etc. Looks like at least dozens of incorrect entries, which I believe is too many to be a simple mistake. The vandalism seems to exist across many different revisions from various IPs, which makes it difficult to revert the vandalism without reviewing the entire page. Bendy1001 (talk) 14:26, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Reason: unjustified IP edits Polish kurd (talk) 16:57, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Indefinite semi-protection: Politically contentious subject, attracts editors with conflicts of interest (see User:Sneakodihhhrider and User:NAWEHA1). Carlinal (talk) 19:00, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Persistent disruptive editing by IP and new users. Telenovelafan215 (talk) 19:05, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Permanent extended confirmed protection: As with the Arab–Israeli conflict-related articles that are enforced, why isn't that article extended confirmed protected yet? 142.113.205.180 (talk) 19:45, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Extended confirmed protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Lots of edit warring by autoconfirmed accounts this past week. Article is a WP:CTOP. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:09, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – To stop ongoing disruption (see history). Justjourney (talk | contribs) 23:29, 26 June 2025 (UTC)

Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Materialscientist (talk) 09:35, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
Reason: Persistent, long term bad-faith trolling by IPs and new users. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 02:57, 27 June 2025 (UTC)

Semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing. Remsense 🌈 论 06:16, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Materialscientist (talk) 09:33, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
Semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Constant disruption related to Hindko and its relation to Lahnda and Punjabi. HistoryofIran (talk) 10:43, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
Move protection: Highly visible page – Move protecting the page for the following reasons: 1. This is the policy page, all policies are highly visible pages 2. Used in blocking templates, and system messages such as MediaWiki:Blockedtext 3. There was a failed attempt to keep the page fully move-protected in 2008-10 Note: This is a retake of my request, which failed with "already protected". CreatorTheWikipedian2009 (talk) 10:50, 27 June 2025 (UTC)

Current requests for reduction in protection level
Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin on their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
- To find out the username of the admin who protected the page, click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page," which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
- Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
- Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
- If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page, please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected, please use the section below.
Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
Reason: Only 12 transclusions. Not used in block summaries, unlike {{anonblock}}. 2A0E:1D47:9085:D200:5AF:9096:9EC1:275E (talk) 16:45, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
Comment: Is there any reason why the average editor would need to edit this? Sumanuil. (talk to me) 05:28, 21 June 2025 (UTC)
- Presumably the IP intends to nominate this and the below for deletion based on their other edits. But that doesn't require an unprotection; they can just request that the TfD tag be added using {{edit template-protected}}. However, what makes you think
Not used in block summaries, unlike {{anonblock}}
? Do you have any actual evidence of this, or are you just guessing? * Pppery * it has begun... 05:02, 22 June 2025 (UTC)- quarry:query/94896 shows that it hasn't been used in block logs. Sdrqaz (talk) 03:49, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
Reason: Only 7 transclusions. Not used in block summaries, unlike {{school block}} 2A0E:1D47:9085:D200:5AF:9096:9EC1:275E (talk) 16:46, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
- According to quarry:query/94896, there is a single block from 2021 that did use it, but I'm not sure that that is a good reason for protection if the block has already expired. Sdrqaz (talk) 03:49, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
Temporary semi-protection: Persistent sockpuppetry. Moxy🍁 12:36, 25 June 2025 (UTC)

- That page is already temporarily semi protected, what do you want it decreased to? — xaosflux Talk 12:42, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- whatever we need to prevent this.....should do same to other affected pages. Moxy🍁 12:05, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Reason: Unprotection: No longer nessecary: This article has been semi-protected since 2011 due to BLP violations. Fresco's been dead since 2017, so the reason for the protection no longer applies here. The protecting administrator was last active about five months ago. Current requests for edits to a protected page
Please request an edit directly on the protected page's talk page before posting here
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
- Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among
{{Edit protected}}
,{{Edit template-protected}}
,{{Edit extended-protected}}
, or{{Edit semi-protected}}
to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed. - Where requests are made due to the editor having a conflict of interest (COI; see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the
{{Edit COI}}
template should be used. - Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not here.
- If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
- This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.
The Israeli casaulties have changed over the night with new Iranian strikes. I want to change the Current Casaulties from 24 Killed to 53, i have the sources needed. And to change the 2,345 injured to 2,585 injured for which i also have sources. Pkk123477 (talk) 18:53, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
On hold: Hello, Pkk123477. Your edit request has been restored here as we need further input on this, as initially requested by Behappyyar. Would you be willing to post the sources that you have so that they can be reviewed and used to update the article? --Super Goku V (talk) 21:09, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
The statement that : "9,000+ Israeli civilians displaced" and "8,000+ Israeli civilians homeless" at the bottom of the "Casualties and losses" panel is misinformation by omission. Civilian infrastructure was also destroyed in Iran (example https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/6/13/shock-fear-in-tehran-after-israel-bombs-residential-military-areas) and I think we should either remove the statement about Israeli civilians, or add one for Iranian civilians in case any estimate exists. Otherwise it makes it sound only Iran targeted civilian infrastructure. Chalchiutlicue (talk) 12:56, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
- I agree that we should include both. Do you have a source for those displaced or homeless in Iran, Chalchiutlicue? --Super Goku V (talk) 12:40, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- aljazeera is problematic source in this context 2A0D:6FC0:99B:3900:78C9:A89C:E38B:41CB (talk) 20:50, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
In the casualties and losses column. There should be civilian losses and casualties specified for Palestine the same as it is for Israel 1.121.196.162 (talk) 05:50, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- I think the casualties and losses column counts everyone, not just Israelis. LilianaUwU (talk / contributions) 09:45, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
IAEA Chief: "Iran Not Far From an Atomic Bomb" In an interview with the French newspaper Le Monde, the head of the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, said: "Like a puzzle, Iran has the pieces and they can eventually put them together." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.70.165.173 (talk) 09:08, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
