He directed Fight or Flight, a notable film that received independent coverage. WP:DIRECTOR, a notability guideline, indicates that "This guideline applies to authors, editors, journalists, filmmakers, photographers, artists, architects, and other creative professionals. Such a person is notable if: [...]The person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work. In addition, such work must have been the primary subject of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews, or of an independent and notable work (for example, a book, film, or television series, but usually not a single episode of a television series". The page can therefore be kept per the guideline.--Artus Sauerfog Dark-Eon (talk) 18:28, 2 June 2025 (UTC)

Seems to fail WP:GNG and WP:NBAND. Did a search per WP:BEFORE and found nothing relevant in news nor books. Google only pops up music host sites. The only sources I found with specific coverage was [1] which reads like an advertisement and [2] which looks like it raises WP:UGC issues. The article is also entirely unsourced and the external links are either dead or were taken over. 🪷 nahida 00:02, 2 June 2025 (UTC)

This is a continuation of the nomination at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/COVID-19 pandemic deaths in July 2021. The arguments used in favor of deleting the "COVID-19 pandemic deaths in month" articles also apply to the "COVID-19 pandemic cases in month" articles. The cases articles stopped being sourced appropriately at a certain point, but the information can all be found here. I spot checked the data in the cases articles and there are some errors, for example some of Yemen's August 2021 numbers are wrong and sometimes everything for a country is seemingly one day off, e.g. Azerbaijan's December 2020 numbers. These articles also stopped being updated in August 2021. Going through and checking for errors, fixing them, and creating new articles for every month since August 2021 would take a long time and I wonder if it's even worth it to do so. - Delete. His job title, "distinguished senior lecturer", is one that in US universities designates someone hired for teaching rather than for scholarship but who has been at it long enough to be distinguished and senior; it is not itself a sign of notability or its lack, but it is not promising. (In universities in UK-based systems it would have a completely different meaning.) I searched but was unable to find well-cited publications or multiply-reviewed books that could lead to WP:PROF#C1 or WP:AUTHOR notability. There is a different Mark A. Sheldon with a well-cited paper on semantic file systems but even that one paper wouldn't tip the scale. —David Eppstein (talk) 02:16, 9 June 2025 (UTC)

Also on stage in A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story [6] (As Joni Ayton-Kent in the televised version [7]). This article survived an AfD in 2006 (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stejskal) but doesn't appear to pass WP:GNG in that discussion. - Thanks for adding the references, I don't see either of those covering Stejskal in detail. Excerpts: NL: "and a collection of theatre posters designed by Josef Stejskal (through the Esso Project)" SL (caption only): "above: Josef Stejskal, State Library staff member and designer of theatre posters" Additionally, they are not "independent of the subject". C679 06:20, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- Fair enough, and certainly coverage is in passing. However, I do note that it meets Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Creative professionals 4 b) been a substantial part of a significant exhibition and (d) been represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums. Also I don't see why the National Library report would be other than "independent of the subject" since he had no association with him when they collected his works. Sheijiashaojun (talk) 07:10, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- Just to update: have also added info about artist holdings in National Gallery and State Library of NSW. Some acquired by public collections, some donated by third parties, some donations of artist. To me it establishes there's notability in relevant Aus art, library, theatre circles, but I acknowledge that sources remain thin. Sheijiashaojun (talk) 21:53, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
- Delete. None of the recently added sources help him pass WP:GNG. I haven't found any meaningful source, just databases. FromCzech (talk) 05:52, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- Comment looks like he's also held by the Library of Congress[8], but these are archival collections rather than art collections, so the inclusion is less useful for notability. Also, I'm not sure where we'd source any additional yet basic biographical information. Jahaza (talk) 20:01, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
- Keep He meets WP:CREATIVE#4, being represented in the permanent collections of the National Gallery of Australia and the Moravian Gallery in Brno, as well as the National Library of Australia and the State Library of New South Wales, and the Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division [9]. RebeccaGreen (talk) 04:46, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- Weak keep based on NCREATIVE, like others above. The source cited for the National Library of Australia claim specifically describes their purchase of his posters among "some notable acquisition of pictorial material" [10], which I think reinforces that these institutions have deliberately sought out his work for being somehow significant. - Keep The criteria are being applied in a perverse manner that is inconsistent with Wikipedia practice. See Lists of mayors by country. Mayors are often notable, but certainly a complete list of the holders of a notable local office can generally be established for any decent sized municipality. Per WP:CSC point 2, if for some reason this isn't kept, it should be merged into Auburn, Washington as several of the other lists of mayors are incorporated into their cities' articles. [edit]Templates and Modules
[edit]I was reviewing a draft that is due to be deleted via CSD G13, Draft:Railway line No. 412 and it is the only page transcluded to this template. The draft said the railway line is no longer in use so I think this template will go unused. Liz Read! Talk! 04:16, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
Unnecessary fork of {{Infobox character}}. Only addition is a random arbitrary numbering scheme for companions (e.g. "The 49th Companion") -- Alex_21 TALK 00:27, 9 June 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Deletion review
[edit]The original TfD presented no valid rationale for deletion; the only rationale was in the nominator statement, which cited WP:FILMNAV. However, this guideline does not cover (let alone implore) navbox deletion, it discusses subjective criteria for individual item inclusion at navboxes. Kingsif (talk) 04:05, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
- Overturn Besides generally supporting procedural relist as DELREV nominator, looking at the production credits that made up most of the navbox (The Little Hours, Ingrid Goes West, Black Bear (film), Little Demon (TV series), and Emily the Criminal), in all cases Plaza is producer and main actor and, at least through our articles or a quick search, was the first producer signed on and a primary creative force in the projects being picked up and finished. Two of the film articles also indicate she was directly involved in casting. It's simply unreasonable to suggest Plaza would not be considered a primary creator, and this in addition to the character links, mean it's both a complete and tightly-focused (distinct creator connection throughout all items) navbox. - Also, request undeletion so that previous versions (the original TfD nominator noted they significantly reduced it) can be properly assessed. Kingsif (talk) 04:11, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
